Hot Tent Winter Camping In Major Snow Storm

On this overnight adventure I go hot tent camping in the first major snow storm of the year.
With winds gusting up to 45/KPH and a relentless mix of snow and freezing rain, this winter snow storm brought a bit of everything.
After setting up camp, I hunker down as the howling winds, snow and freezing rain hammer pelt the tent.

Yeah it's a nice little spot. I plan on doing a canoe trip down the grand this summer and stopping there

First video I’ve ever seen of yours and my oh my it has to be about the dog passing… first and foremost, my condolences. I feel your pain and I hope it gets better for your in the near future. I had a boxer for 13 years and lost him in 2019. Dog people 14:16 know this, they are a family member. Still not ready for another dog. My son just turned 4 and he is wanting a dog. It’s a good age to have a canine friend so, maybe sooner than I think. Enjoyed your camping trip.

So sorry to hear about your puppy dog. It's so difficult losing a pet, they are such a big part of a family. Looks like you had quite a challenge with the wind and weather in general. That was a pretty wide open spot. Be safe.

Yeah the weather was worse than I expected. I was a bit worried the tent wouldn't hold up. Thankfully it did!

When I saw that river I thought it sure looks like the Grand. Then you mention you live in Brantford...that's where my wife and I live. You said you camped 🏕 on Chiefwood...I go there sometimes for gas when they are cheaper than Bearpaw. Sorry about your pup...losing a pet is heart breaking

Yeah it held up pretty good on the freezing rain. There was tons of condonation but that's too be expected. Probably better choices for rainy seasons for sure. Thanks for watching!
