A modern tent and wood stove isn't much good with a damp/wet bic lighter that doesn't work. A faro rod works in all weather everytime. 👍. It's smart planning when your alone in the woods.

a bic lighter is not as reliable as a ferro rod. a big lighter gets wet, or you leave it out in the rain, it's dead. a ferro rod gets wet, and it's fine.

Winter camping in such a beautiful place. Winter in Korea where I live is cold, but it is difficult to camp in such a beautiful place. There is not much snow this winter. I enjoyed watching the video. If I have a chance someday, I want to camp in a wonderful place like this.

21:56 i never seen anyone (that is making coffee) use zip lock bags with premeasured amounts of coffee, it would give the right amount of coffee everytime and you would always know how much you have left, it would also limit the air exposure to the ground coffee as well as extend the life of the supply of coffee taken on extended trips.

That looks like the first hot tent you'd get, to see what it was like, and immediately wish you had something more rugged. Looks like it'd be toasty in there, though, and an easy setup.

You'll be happy. Tipi tents are great but I personally love the baker style. I love the fact you can open the side and get a open feeling to the woods then close it right up into a cave.

I'd recommend covering your quad if you let it sit that long outside. It would be no trouble to roll up a tarp or cover, attach it to the rack and then cover it before taking off into the woods.

great video, you made putting up the hot tent look so easy. i am jealous of anyone who lives around tree's like this, i live in las vegas nevada, its pretty much all desert and rocks. the gold claim i go to, it does not snow very often, but it does get cold in the winter, this could be a nice rig to have on overnight trips to the claim.

It's not really a hard tent to setup. Just like anything takes a little more time that just a tarp. More ya do it the faster you get too.
