We have had an Artisan figure out for quite a while.Although it wasn't described as an Artisan figure, the Wonder Woman is essentially an Artisan figure.It's packaged the same way and the hair is the same wool material.

I don't think that one bad Artisan will dictate that the rest are gonna be bad. It's like any other Hot Toys figure...there are peaks and valleys allover. There are regular figures that look AMAZING. And there are regular figures that look ASS. There's no way to predict.

After being a collector of six scale since 2008ish. I've learned to see in hand pictures before I make a purchase. I've made the mistake in the past. Let's hope this lives up to it the production photos. I'm happy with my inart Joker right now. But who knows if I will end up trying to pick this up too.

I have mixed feelings, I have the JND on order and actually cancelled my HT Artisan preorder because the hair looked so thick on the display couple months ago. However the photo HT released on the upcoming release looks like the hair isn’t as thick. So I guess we will see how the rooted comes out in production. I wonder if it will change because HT rarely makes figures better on production than what we see on prototypes. I am eager to see the blogger photos but also anxious that I hope JND will make my moneys worth next year.

I would like to see the education versus influence video. That sounds like a very interesting topic. I'm hoping the artisan Joker doesn't suck because I scored the rooted from sideshow. I have the Inart Joker and I like it, but I didn't get the rooted version and have regretted it ever since. I'm hoping this rooted is better and will replace it. If it works out, at least I got a rooted Joker without having to buy a two pack (saving space) and if it sucks, at least I really got to compare the two. And as you say, I can probably sell it right away.

Too many times have I purchased a figure because the reviewer said it’s the best in the world it’s gonna sell out and I end up regretting it so a video on educating or influencing sounds brilliant! Also super side note are planning on acquiring the Hono line figure like the exclusive brown suit Wolverine? I was able to secure the bag 😆 only time I’ve been able to with hot toys new system

I'm thoroughly enjoying your videos. I got into 1/6 collecting about ten years ago, I was super selective about what I got but now it seems Hot Toys are actually making figures I want more often but with that comes the more critical eye. I think Inart have made Hot Toys up their game through competition which is key but I do know licences dictate how good or how much Hot Toys can slack i.e. Star Wars and Marvel. The artisan series is a reaction to Inart for sure and I think making Anakin a limited exclusive was very silly it would have sold more imo. I have the sculpted Inart Joker so I'm going to wait until I see reviews of the sculpted Hot Toys Joker to see the finished product before I buy it. Influenced vs educated is a good topic to come up with. There are figures that get a push that don't look great and I love when someone points out a missing detail or a problem to push for a better product through them being educated.

While “ educated “ is always going to be better than “ influenced “ ,it’s just pure human nature the majority will remain with a herd mentality and just be influenced . It happens on subconscious level ,and I don’t think they can help it . I have my favorites that go against the herd mentality of what should be liked and what bashed ,and I’ve noticed how deeply it offends people with cultist and herd behavior,the very thought of someone liking something else than them offends them. Not to mention,generally the Western consumer “ likes “ purely on hype .

I don’t think they’ll be bad. Tbh I don’t see the hype for rooted figures though. It just sounds like more maintenance. What should be included with this artisan line is premium material. Why the fuck is the Artisan Anakin still using pleather? Also we all know they didn’t include a sculpted option for him because they likely plan to announce one next year at the latest but it’s still shitty because you either have to collect backwards and get the now dated original figure or just be SOL until they decide to announce the 2.0. If they didn’t plan to announce him with the sculpted counterpart, they should have just waited. (I’m not pissed I don’t have the artisan, I’m pissed I don’t have any options but wait.)
