What an impressive collection! I've been avidly watching every sixth scale figure collector I can find for awhile now, and even amongst that large number I think your collection stands out as being both remarkable and different. Something I really admire about it is your focus on, for want of a better word, sets. It seems to me that you want to collect a whole group of figures and even though there may not be certain characters from that group produced you don't let that stop you. For example, you're working on a custom superman from the Arrowverse, or how you have River Tam who, to my (admittedly limited) knowledge, has never been officially produced. These custom figures round out their groups, complete sets, and add a great deal to how comprehensive your display comes across. It's obviously taken you a great deal of time and effort, but is definitely worth it and a true credit to you. 4:46 I really like your cyclops figure. There's something about his stern expression coupled with that wonderful visor that makes him stand out. 05:39 Your Nolanverse shelf. You have many individual figures in your whole collection that I long to own - original ant-man, strike suit cap, Walter White and on and on, but this shelf is what I dream of when I forsee my own collection. There's something about this set of DCU figures that is extra special. I paused the video here just to admire what you've created, and replayed this part a couple of times, too. The Batman Begins batsuit is my favourite Bale suit and I've been searching for him. However, my current Grail figure (because I've just got my all-time grail, which I'll mention later) is Anne Hathaway's Selina Kyle. She's my favourite version of catwoman, for many reasons. The way her goggles flip up and give the impression of cat ears I thought was an incredibly clever alternative to simply giving her points on a cowl and oh wow does she look great riding the bat-pod. 16:44 You made me smile when you said you'd been able to meet David Tennant twice and describe him as a really nice dude. It gives us something kind of in common then, meeting Doctor Whos, as I've met and been out for a drink with Christopher Eccleston and he was genuinely nice. (Admittedly it was a year or so before he became the Doctor though but I'm still counting it as meeting a Doctor!) 17:48 Your classic sci-fi shelf. Kirk, Spock and Picard are glorious. What great figures. Do you think you'll be filling out your Star Trek collection with any of the Exo6 figures, like mirror universe Spock and Sulu, or Locutus? 20:53 You have a figure of yourself? Oh my goodness, that is super cool! Amazing! I absolutely love that idea. You said you had it made at "Mall of America" which I assume is a place. How was it made? Was it some 3D scan and print, or did an artist sculpt you? Now, could you please, please help me by give me some advice? I stumbled on to the sixth scale hobby for the first time ten years ago. My guilty secret is that I love the characters and set-pieces from the film Sucker Punch. At some point I saw the figure for Amber (Hot Toys MMS 158). It captivated me. At the time we were a one income family, so any extra money always had to go to other uses, but my love for the figure and desire to own her never waned, and I kept returning to look at pictures of her with the promise of "One day I'll own one." Finally, this July I got her. It's taken ten years, but she's worth it to me. The happiness and joy I feel is hard to explain. I bought her with my eyes wide open, knowing that even though she was unopened and as new, she had sat in a box for ten years and even in that sealed environment time takes it toll. Her leather gun belt had flaked and cracked. Thankfully I found "Old Travelers Workshop" on facebook and he did an absolutely superb job of making a replacement. It was with sadness that I found out that Hot Toys didn't make all five characters from Sucker Punch though. They only produced Amber and Babydoll (whom I am now hunting). So I've been trying to learn how to get the three missing characters as customs. I assume I'd have to get phicen bodies and then find someone who can make the sixth scale costumes. But what is reallly stopping me is the head sculpts. How do you find someone to make those? I've tried looking for them being sold somewhere with no success. I appreciate it'd be quite expensive to have them made, but if I could find someone who could do it I'd find a way. So could you please tell me how you get your custom figures? Do you have to build them in parts like I'm assuming, or do you have someone who can make the whole figure? Do you just find a figure for sale and buy it, or do you commission a craftsman to build it? Any advice you can give would be truly valuable. Thank you.

Aw man, that is so nice of you to say. I really enjoyed reading your post. At the end of the day, collecting is all about passion. The stories and characters that inspire us. The ones that take us into thier world and make us want to bring a little of thiers into ours. Just focus on getting the characters that mean something to you, and you will always have a collection that is meaningful to you. To answer your questions, I don't know how much deeper il go with Star Trek. I'm not into it as massively as I am some other properties. I'd love to get a Data though! And the figure of myself was done in this booth where there are hundreds of cameras that take photos of you from different angles all at the same time. The process only took a couple of seconds. And then a couple of months wait for it to be sent to me! Also I'm super jealous that you got to go out for a drink with Christopher Eccleston! That is so cool!!

Man that is one awesome collection. Well done. Where did you get the custom Star Wars stands with name plates? Those square bases on the Hot Toys stands chew up way too much space in the Detolf.

Hey man! Glad you're back with new vids. You're the best poser in the community It hurts to see you have most of your figs in museum pose. I guess we're all in the same boat as regards space

Hey nice collection :) was wondering does it look too cluttered in person when you’re looking into the display. I was looking into getting risers for my detolf so I can fit more into the shelves. So far I have 3 figures on each shelf

Thanks man. Honestly it isn't bad at all in person. I can pretty easily see everything. Obviously your own personal preference wins out, and ideally I would have the space for 2x as many detolf and the ability to only go 3 or 4 figures per shelf, but when that just isn't a reality I have to make due.

I like it alot! I thought to do mine but people would just comment it looks "cluttered". So many people that are into collecting, and especially 1/6th scale, and they think everyone has the space to display a single figure per shelf. I like your ranger setup, I have the same one and really like them. The megazords go for a lot now apparently... I had no idea when I first got them lol.
@yungjet00

who in the world would say that…one figure per shelf is absolutely ridiculous in terms of spacing lmao
@ImmortalDraylo
@ImmortalDraylo 2 жыл бұрын
@@yungjet00 I agree lol, but theres a lot of channels showing their hot toys collection and its always with the same detolf setups and the one guy I saw had single figures per detolf shelf... I was like an entire shelf for a stormtrooper? And he said it shows off the details more but of course some prefer to "cram" the shelves with multiple figures. Some people are just extreme minimalists and like to impose their beliefs on everyone lol.
@yungjet00
@yungjet00 2 жыл бұрын
@@ImmortalDraylo being a minimalist and not understanding that these figures look their best when standing with others are two entirely separate things. he basically thinks a stand alone trooper looks better than a team of them would lol cramming to me is museum poses all around, shoulder to shoulder without stands. its mostly people that pick up every release

No offense when it looks cluttered like that its hard to appreciate the individual piece. It just looks like a big blob on the wall and looks messy. Does not look clean at all
