Hot Toys May the 4th PSA!

I’m with you 100% on this. I don’t think Hot Toys give a 💩 about a random date in May. It’s just Star Wars fans that have made the day “mean” something. And only because “force” rhymes with “4th” 😅 Hot Toys aren’t going to make business decisions around a random date. So yeah I don’t expect anything announced or released specifically for May 4th. And like you say it’s a Saturday anyway. Great video Ryan, really enjoyed the brief history of annual releases/announcements!

I remember how hyped up the whole community was for May 4th last year. Every YTber had a live steam speculating who was going to be announced.

I'm not holding out hopes for May the 4th. I'm expecting maybe a Darth Vader reissue. Maybe Darth Maul 2.0.

Agree with expectations being low since we did get some bangers over the last few weeks. If they gave me an updated ROTJ Palpatine in chair and release OBIWAN from the Obiwan show i would be good to go. Much appreciated if you did a phantom menace obiwan but i can wait...fot now. LOL

As exciting as it would be to hear a new Star Wars OT release I could use a little break. I need a few weeks to bank the money for the four figures I just pre-ordered🤪

I expect it will be similar this year. They just announced Revan and Starkiller. I wouldn't expect anything else folks. I would like a new Yoda, Emperor or a Character we have not yet got (that is not a clone lol)

My memory of the disappointment surrounding the lack of announcements for May 4, 2023 was due to expectations being so high that it was a 40th Anniversary Year for ROTJ, and they did so many figures for the 20th Anniversary of Attack of the Clones. So many figures. Soooooo many figures. So the natural assumption was they were going to do wave after wave for ROTJ 40th. I honestly think that is what mostly fueled it, at least for me. I now have zero expectations. Predicting Hot Toys announcements is like predicting the weather in Central Texas. Better not to try, and just take it as it comes.

Yep, agree with your great share that "HT follows HT's internal scheduling" on releases and for us to think there's trackable absolutes is false hope. Yet, we like "the thrill of the chase!" ;) Good stuff Mom! PS Missed your first minute with the exclusive footage. Hilarious. 👍
