Purple T-Bird, white and yellow Stockers in a room... Salmon pink Olds 442, chrome Stocker and tons of enamel in the next room... That is indeed ridiculous. Out of this world. At 11:00 I think I mentally booked my plane ticket for next year's convention. Insane stash. Thanks for another great HW video.

For sure! I missed this year's convention by 2-3 days. One day the tickets were there, went back to buy and they were sold out!!

Wow! Great video, Hot Wheels overload! I have yet to go to a convention, I don't have the willpower to not just buy everything! Ha! It's so crazy to see all those Redlines. Amazing collections. At a few hundred bucks a car I bet your convention money goes pretty quick! Redlines seem like an investment now a days, but I still love finding em at flea markets. Keep on collecting!

Those old red lines just don't attract me. Especially at those prices. But, that's just my opinion. But thanks for the cool video room to room.

Your suppose to go out locally and find a collection from a non-collector and pay them the non-collector value. Then you sell some of your find for collector prices and buy something else at collector prices. So you buy 24 cars for $10 each and sell 3 for $40 each. You take that "Redline Money" and buy 3 other cars for $40 each. The result is you have all $10 cars. Just because we collectors highly value Hot Wheels doesn't mean that the non collector should cash in on our hobby. In the end these toys have no real value.

He is the real deal, you will find him every Octobrr at the Los Angeles Convention. He has the most nice Redlines. Rachel year there are about 180 rooms with Hot Wheels and of that less than twenty with redlines and of that maybe 6 really awesome rooms. I will be filming at the upcoming convention so keep watching.

Thanks for your reply, David. Glad to know you and him will attend. I'll be there as soon as Tuesday 02nd mid afternoon. It will be my first LA convention. I hope they give us a list of sellers with corresponding room numbers at registration table on arrival (They do it at the Chicago Toy Show and it's quite convenient).

No they do not do that. You just wander the halls looking for open doors and visiting with folks. Its total hit and miss. Certain collectors when you see them come out of a room you know there is nothing good left. There are "pickers" there for FXTOYS! so if you want to see all that you missed at the convention just watch the FXTOYS! eBay store. Also much of the best Redlines are pre-sold deals so after the convention if you go to message boards you will see photos of really awesome cars that collectors say they picked up at the convention and yet you will have never seen any of it. But you never know what you might find. Years ago I would come home with a dining table full of goodies now I seem to only come home with a handful. See you there! (My wife says I just sounded like Debbie Downer...)
