I screwed up my Nova 3 times all on the last of my normal steps and then realized what it was that I was doin wrong and skipped that step on the last set of wheels I had laying around in a last ditch effort and damned if it didn't pick back up and stay there so off it went. We shall see how it stacks up but MAN that was a bunch of freakin work!

Just started the video. Can't wait to see the rest later. Gonna busy busy til late pm. But on the #44, the clear rear side bumper cover is the 51 gram car. The ones with black script tampo on the side BC are 43 or 44 grams. Found out the hard way of wondering why my Petty's were slow compared to what I was seeing. Found out the difference and yeah, the 51g Petty's have nice speed & potential.

Look for the STP on the front fender and no tampos in the white behind the rear wheel. That’s the tell for the 51g car.

Another super video RPR! Always enjoy visiting your Aladin's Cave of Diecast, Stock n Mods. I have always thought, for a long time for the good of the hobby, there needs to be more consistancy in the weight classes being run. Yes, there needs to be defined classes for stocks. (But not too many!) And yes, in general more defined for Mods as well. It would really help I think. I also wish at times (being so far away does not help) that rules were more consistant AND they way they are applied more consistent. I have watched some races, and had to look at the rules again, scratch my head and think to myself, I need to ask more questions on interpretations, so as not to be left behind too far. Like many, even when you talk just "stock" cars, peoples interpretations as to what you can/can't do differ wildly! All good fun. Important mate, to get that time with your kids. They do grow up so fast, and you can never get that time back! But, you still have to have You time, and time with the Mrs! Cheers, take care!

Adding a second comment here to say that I agree about there needing to be more universal classes and rules across the board. I'll watch the rest of this video later and comment more on that but for now I'll say that it did always bother me how inconsistent things can be at a lot of events. It just makes things harder to keep track of and even gets frustrating at a certain point

@@cutrockr-diecastracing2773 I think that we've all felt the same way for awhile the need for consistency, there's just never been a good means to making it all happen. As big and connected as the world of diecast racing has become compared to several years ago, it's still not unified enough for everyone to be in the same place at once to discuss these things I think. Within the network of diecast racers there's multiple smaller networks and not everyone is part of all of them so you can't really relay these ideas to everyone all at once to get everything on the same page. At least that's what I think the only real limitation is

The gold Dodge van is special, for sho. I have yet to find a Matchbox with the split 10 spoke wheels that have any speed. The new castings take the cake as far as detailing, but they are all so damn light. Enjoyed the vid, keep on grinding away at it my friend!

I think you’re onto something with the universal rules piece. Maybe creating a Diecast Racing Association, and having certain racers as a committee that can create standard rules. On the video side of things anything you do is good content. I would like to see those cars hanging up race though. But of course family is first brother.

The yellow stockers with the red graphics...I have never seen those. Were they sold individually or in a 5 pack? I think maybe do some shop videos. Maybe start with a stock car and do a few different videos moving it thru "the basics" of modifying with some tips/tricks along the way. So basically the modifying steps from start to finish, so that others may git involved with the racing community. From what I have seen...Brandon gits a lot of views when he races all one class of vehicle. Like his last Camaro JL video. might wanna do something like that but keep it around 15 mins. So you may have to release several video parts for the whole tournament.

I'm just spitballing to what weight classes could be for the community: - Stocks - 30 grams and under 31g-40g 41g - 61g 62 grams and over. So 30.9, 40.9 & 61.9 would be acceptable in the lower weight class. So 30.9 could run in the Under 30g. A 40.9 car could run in the 31g-40g. A 61.9 car could run in the 41g-61g. I know my stuff is broken into metal and plastic, but for the community as a whole, chassis type would make no difference. Metal & plastic combined. - Mods - 60g 70g 71 to 100g 101 to 120g Over 120g Again just spitballing for mods, so I'll step aside and let you guys hash it out.

@Crazy Eights A bit extreme and not even a close analogy. One is a hobby while the other is about a personal medicsl choice about an mRNA shot. I could give a rip about how anyone runs their track and no one should care how I rank my speed. Saying that not to sound harsh as I'm genuinely interested on how guys separate their collections and rank their speed. My own weight classes are broken down more than I suggested here. Red Pill is just offering discussion about standarizing for the purpose of hosting races. Many top guys have the same metal/metal castings. It's a way to expand the hobby and find lighter weight freaks.
@MrREDPILLhimself2 жыл бұрын
@Crazy Eights i agree with you. Most of the top tier guys all run on the same tracks. I think getting us all together on a rules package would be beneficial in a lot of ways. We are always open to running in different events with different rules but if someone wants to bea part of hosting elite cars in top events then they would need to get onboard.
