At my local Target, the Lightyear one was on Clearance for about $12... just an FYI! And I picked it up and I think it's perfect for playing with my kitties. Not too fast, not too slow. And I love how much control you have. This is my first Hot Wheels RC, though, so don't listen to my opinion! But, yeah, your mileage may vary, but your Target might have it on Clearance too!

I bought the RC Batmobile to play with my kitten too. My cat only plays with Hot Wheels so I figured I could play with it with the RC Hot Wheels lol.

I’ve been trying to find a toy that appeals to either of my cats and hoping that this would be like mice, but in general though too fast so I’ve been working on getting them to go slower to see if that works because it’s just too fast …they watch, but don’t paw at them.

Can I use a cord that connects with the older version to charge it from the wall instead of the controller?

I would rather pay the extra dollar for the original controller with built in charger but add a usb charging cord so I have options.

Imo the smaller controller is better and charging the car with a cable saves you 2 batteries vs needing 4

It is slow. I have a Corvette too. Comparably, the Vet moves. Need a diff car for a race.

Does it have more clearance? I want to see the underside. The cyber truck gets stuck easier than the porsche because of the switch on the bottom.
