Thanks for the video! I just ordered my first hot air station and needed guidance like your very clear video! And don't pay any attention to the language critics... they probably ONLY speak English anyway and are jealous that you speak more than one language!

Every now and then I run into a situation where a soldering iron just doesn't get the job done. I just received my new hot air rework station and your video clearly shows what it is can do. Thank you for your help and your English is fine, keep up the good work.

Thank You. It is my old movie but principals are the same. You have to loog out to stations wchich have closed out... (it should rotate air to melt solder under ic, but not directly to ic. Like i sad should ...)
@Aerospaceman9 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your video, I knew nothing of air soldering and found your tutorial very informative.You explained the proper way and make it seem easy. Then you explained things you should not do, you could delaminate the board, damage components from the inside such as the micro-switch, and you could cause yourself harm by destroying components with excessive heat. This is a very good video. PS Don't worry about your English; for a beginner, it is excellent - Keep practicing!

Thanks so much for this video. It helps me out a lot. I use the same machine but have only used the hot air for heat shrink & solder sleeves/shielding terminators. I am going to try this next time I have to remove and/or replace an IC. Thanks so much.

Seems that hot air would be a great way to use heat shrink. I guess it would beat the lighter method.

This works great...learned it the hardway first...but this helps me take out SMD and fix the circuits.

Thank you very much for the helpful video. I was hoping for a suggestion for a hot air station for someone like me who is more or less just starting out.

Hi buddy, great video. I´m looking for a good flux, and a good flux remover... need them for reballing... May I ask you for a good sugest? Thanks and congratulations.

good information.. when replacing the new part you need to clean up the board first by cleaning the old solder with desoldering wire then clean it with flux clean then apply fresh Solder paste before applying heat again.. you can't just solder back on the same old solder

Good video with all explanations. For fiberglass fiber the temperature is ok, but for FR4 PCBs is way too high, should be set below 300 Celsius. Please continue, your English is good.

Does adding flux make it easier to remove ICs. I thought that flux was mainly for soldering TO the PCB, and not so much to remove it. In what way does adding flux help? Seems now you have to heat even more as now you have to eat the flux as well?
@LubomirFotev11 жыл бұрын
There are various diffrent types of flux , desoldering requires a flux that increases surface tension . Example reflowing a ball grid array .

Można tez dodać tekst to se stresu zaoszczędzisz. Tłumaczenie, że się uczysz języka daruj se bo to żałosne a to, że nie mówisz dobrze po angielsku to nie grzech ;)

Hi. How do you calculate the temperature (Celsius), the distance and how long to point it at components. Is there a calculation to get all that based on the thickness, kind of component and area of the board? Thank you. God bless. Proverbs 31

I have this same rework station on my third bench and MAN do I hate it. Soon as I get some free time it is getting put on the range for target practice and I'm getting a Hakko to match my other ones. It is a turd. The iron is junk, the desoldering gun is junk, the hot air iron is worthless... Only thing it is good for is to set your coffee cup on.
@MarkowySerwis6 жыл бұрын
i do not agree with You. i have a hakko too i have a weller... so what ?? hakko cost few times more. this station inhave and i use since i bought and i had to replace soldering iron becouse it was broken by mistake... so yes maybe it is cheap and not so good as hakko but ....
