Good work olde buddy, I'd like to hear you talking about all the things that make jokes funny while you're writing, I made a list for myself and I seem to get something presentable every time, 10 minutes might be a push though. I put my list here, if it's any use to you... Opposites/Irony/sarcasm/satire/comparison/Shock/unrealistic accusations/insults/incongruity/hyperbole/parody/word play/word association/analogy/metaphor/slapstick/awkwardness/misdirection

Could have been something to do with the compass (N)ever (E)at (S)ea (W)eed Joke could be “everyone has their own acronyms to remember important things…My favorite is Never Eat Sea Weed to help remember the order of directions. That way anytime I’m high and lost at sea I know which way to go” Something like that can definitely play with it

I was getting Christmas Cracker vibes for the first few minutes. Thankfully, it started ramping up after that. I can see how the types of terms you come up with illustrate your style (e. G. Level of pop culture refs, darkness etc. )

I like sea weed. And the Mexican guy at the beach seems to like it too. Everytime I see him, he says „Si, weed?“ Not great but you get the idea. For a European that might make more sense. A lot guys are selling all kind if stuff at the beach including weed.
