Hotel California, if it were written by Johnny Cash.
This project has been on the shelf since April 2023, and just the other day me and my friend had time to finish recordings for it.
As you might be able to tell, this is done in Johnny's style of the later American Recordings, and more specifically in the style of 'Hurt'.
Very bare bones in terms of instrumentation. Acoustic guitar, piano, bass, electric guitar for a small interlude and bass guitar. Giving ample room for the haunting vocals to shine through, slowly building up to an almost distorted crescendo during the chorus and at the ending.

Absolutely magnificent. The voice was far more authentic than I expected. I loved this a ton more than I thought I would. It was respectful, simple, and hauntingly familiar. Please do a bunch of things like that as Johnny Cash. "Desparado" leaps immediately to mind. Maybe any of the Bon Jovi cowboy tunes.

Hey OP, if you’re not already aware, Johnny Cash actually did do a cover of Desperado himself! I believe it’s on the American IV album. He did a bunch of excellent covers toward the end of his life.
