This is what happens if you don’t put silicone into the corners. I always do grout and after a day when grout will set up and dry I doing clear 100% silicone on top of grout because no matter what after few years you can have a cracks like on your video because of structural movement!!! Grout can’t expand but silicone can! I never did tiles on the threshold always stone quartz this days most of the time. It is much safer than tile and much nicer.

Silly con just makes a mess and a few year later you are going to be scraping it out and replacing it. I live in a house for 30 years that had grout in the corners and never had any problems. Caulking has become the crutch of poor craftsmen.

If you know how to do it and you have 100% silicone clear very good you will have not any problems. Anyway you will need to add the grout in the corners because it will happen like on the video. You will have crack where water going in and then what? 30 years gruot 😂 good luck with grouts on the market I am doing double think grout+silicon So don’t please tell me about poor craftsman

I worked on some hotels laying tile. It's cutthroat. At the time in the late 80's the hotels made their money back after 7 years. Everything after is profit. I was asked to put drywall as backboard with mastic in a whole floor of a Holiday Inn. I passed. They don't care after 7 years.
