It’s cool that you’re big enough that brands are sending you gear to review. I’ve been watching you for a couple years, your channel is one of the first I discovered when I decided to get back into guitar. Your content is some of the best gear review content on KZbin. Thanks so much for helping me choose the gear that’s right for me. BTW, I know it might sound stupid, but I really appreciate that you make it really clear when a company sends you gear to review VS when you review stuff that you’ve purchased or borrowed from a store. Ethics can be a serious issue with reviewers, but you always let us know the situation you’re coming from. Some reviewers leave glowing reviews for products they’ve gotten for free without letting us know that there could be a conflict of interest involved. Cheers!

This is a great effects pedal , lots of amps and cabs to choose from , with loads of OD / distortion pedals and loads of other effects, my only gripe for me is that the looper and drum machine don’t sync, hopefully this will be taken care of on the next firmware download, great review Shane

Sounded pretty good and looks well made. Also seems pretty easy to use. How would you say it compares to the Mooer GE200? To me this looks a bit easier to use. Might pay to do a more in depth review hooking it up to the computer as well.

I tried out the ge200 yesterday at my local store and the menus and the interface system in general look way cleaner and easier to use. That being said, the effects on the mooer aren't as good but I find the high gain amps to sound way better on the ge200. Hope it helps!

Shane, Thanks for the great videos. I have a few questions. First, is the looper associated with a preset? That is, if you change patches or presets does the loop you just created go away? Second, can the foot switches be used to select what Line6 calls snapshots. i.e. I step on a switch and turn off/on multiple stompboxes within the patch. Finally, The Hotone has MIDI and the Mooer not, correct? thanks again for your time and videos

Hello, nice video. I myself have some trouble with the looper, especially when I record a loop with one sound en then play a solo with another sound. Sometimes, even when I erased the loop, ik comes back in a spooky way. Further I find the instruction not so clear. It all works well when you record a loop and play over it with the same patch, but when I change patches.... I record for instance on patch 3, stop the recording and push the control button (to prevent overdubs), exit the looper by pressing 3 en 4 simultaneously, press button 1 and solo over it. Sometimes it works, sometimes strange things happen. Is it a software problem or am I doing something wrong? Please, help, anybody?

I'm having a really hard time deciding between this, the ge200, or just spending a bit more and getting an hx stomp. The stomp has the benefit of incorporating it into my actual pedalboard, where as neither of the other two can do that without an effects loop. But since I only play at home, it's hard to justify spending the money on the stomp.
@davidbergewaytogo5 жыл бұрын
Braden Micona I'm going through the same question... I decided to pull the trigger on the Ampero, it appears easier to use, and the editing software looks nice. Coming from the Zoom G5n, which sounds great but the interface is... meh... sounds like we have a winner with the Ampero.
@bmicona5 жыл бұрын
@@davidbergewaytogo I actually ended up with the stomp. I really wanted to utilize some of my own pedals so the fx loop on the stomp was what tipped the scale. So far I love it.

@@bmicona Cool man, i'm glad it's working out for you! I'm expecting my Ampero to arrive at the end of may 2019 so i'll post again once I get it. The HX Stomp has a tons of satisfied users so you can't go wrong, it's just more expensive than the Ampero. Cheers!

I recommend you have a look. It is highly customisable. I bought one a month ago and can dial in some really nice cleans. You have complete control over the amp settings as well as whatever pedals you choose. I have paired mine with a Meloaudio midi Controller to that I can choose effects individually. The acoustic sim is also very nice.

Sounds like a cardboard box that first distortion tone. Clean tone, no shimmer what so ever on the Strat. Not enough highs through the es looking axe, but a mostly good tone. Blues was ok. Hard to tell without hearing it in the mix. Rock, boomy on the tele, not enough high end on the LP, especially when you changed the cab, sounded like you were down the back of a cave around a corner.
