With the balanced outputs on the Ampero, if you run both L and R into a DAW can you run one with a patch on and one as on unaffected DI track?
@lucasvata20513 жыл бұрын
Any chance for a deep dialing series on the MX5? I find the Ampero to be much easier to dial in for high gain and either I am missing something on the MX5 or it is not good for high gain amps... I think it is me missing something. Thanks and your content had been invaluable to me

Nice to see you still putting out videos featuring the Ampero. Due to the current situation in the world, I have decided to hold off on any Fractal Audio products for a little while but frankly still very happy with the combination of Ampero and Two Notes Torpedo Cab M. Sound and feel is very satisfying and gives ability to tweak power amp simulation with the Torpedo. I haven’t actually had to tweak anything on presets since setting up all my favorites months ago. I just plug in and play and stick to about 10-12 presets I really like. I also haven’t heard any video presentations from any other modelers that make me want to ditch the Ampero/Torpedo combo. Just enjoying turning them on and concentrating on playing.

Hey, that's awesome! If it works, no need to change it. I've mentioned previously, but my decision to get the axef was due to consolidation with backing tracks. We still wanted stage amps, so this was the easiest option. Like 98% that, and 2% flex lol

Love the fact that you own the FXIII, yet still do Ampero videos. Bravo sir! I know what you mean by that clipping sound in the Ampero. I have a hard time getting rid of that as well. Do you know if that has to do with maybe the volume stage on the Ampero patch, or is something we have to tweak somewhere else?
@TaylorDanley4 жыл бұрын
🙌 thanks. I think it has to do with the gain staging. Usually if you look at all the volumes in the patch, you'll fine one that's clipping. In my case I had the master up too loud

"Some people like that mids-forward presence" - Yup ;-). Great video though, the best one yet to give me some idea as to the capabilities of the Ampero. I think with the Guvnor and the 5150 model, I may have a sound I might like to chase... No prizes for guessing.

That was really good bro!!!! I'm old and im new to all this modeler world. I recently got a mooer ge200 and I noticed you had one on your table. Hey Taylor! i've quickly become a huge fan of your content! how would you think the ampero would handle a live scenario playing Groove-death metal? i "lead guitar" am currently using a Peavey Ultra Plus 120, which is extremely heavy to carry around.

What's your experience/suggestion for use of the Noise Reduction feature, especially id using the Ampero as an effects box, and not used directly to a Board. If I keep the Amp and Cabinet effects on, I get an inordinate amount of noise.
@TaylorDanley4 жыл бұрын
🤔 what are you running it into? I've never noticed any excessive noise with it. I usually use the noise killer and dial it to around 60 with the fast attack (cant remember if 1 or 2 setting).

Hey Taylor! Awesome vid. Gonna actually do it and watch complete later but my question is how do you have it setup. Another words where is sound coming from? Your amp or through your computer speakers? If I want to run it through my computer monotors. do I just plug it into my Scarlett interface going into my PC where I normally plug my guitar into or what? Thanks Taylor! Awesome channel, keep at it!
@TaylorDanley4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! 🙌 I always go in to my audio interface (apollo twin duo). I have, and do use it through my amp sometimes, but you guys are hearing this direct from ampero>UAD apollo. I'm monitoring the sound through my studio monitors. Hope that answered your question!

Can you run an out to a powered cab (with the internal cab switched off) AND to a FOH desk (with internal cab on) at the same time? If so how?
@swmorgan5154 жыл бұрын
Hey Taylor thanks for the great demos of this unit. I have decided to pick one up. But I do still have one question: Can the Ampero have the cab sims disabled in the 1/4" unbalanced output, while still having it enabled in the XLR balanced out? This is pretty crucial for my live / rehearsal setup.
@TaylorDanley4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! 🙌 no, you just have control over the L/R channels, and turning no cab mode on or off.
@swmorgan5154 жыл бұрын
@@TaylorDanley hmm ok so there is no way to use the cabinet sims for a direct signal at the same time as using a power amp and cab without it? Seems like a huge design flaw. Deal killer for me...
@TaylorDanley4 жыл бұрын
@@swmorgan515 yes, you can go L out with no cab mode on to your power amp, and then right out with no cab mode off (either xlr or 1/4") and run that to front of house. The no cab mode only applies to L and R, not 1/4" vs XLR if that makes sense

When using the Axefx, do you ever use two amp patch for creating a "stereo" kind of effect ? I'm a Bias fx user and always use two amp panning one right and the other left. I use this when playing through Head phone or studio monitor. I don't when i play through a power amp+cab or when i record.
@TaylorDanley4 жыл бұрын
No, never. I rarely use the thing to it's full potential. Sometimes I'll get crafty and mix 2 different IRs, but that's about it
@apoplexiamusic4 жыл бұрын
dual amps rigs are so much fun! I used to do it all the time about 10 years ago with my Pod X3. I also do it all the time with amp sim plugins, whether it be BiasFX 2, STL Tones, or TH-U Slate (which has amazing sound for very little CPU usage)
@Spark-xu1mu4 жыл бұрын
Hey, it would be cool if you would play the Modelers through a real cab and compare them. Keep up your great work👍🏼
@TaylorDanley4 жыл бұрын
The reason I dont do that is because of the microphone placement. It could easily be bumped while I'm switching them around and yield wildly different results. I do like prefer playing through an actual cabinet though!

I've used it quite time now for my bass. I feel the bass cab and preamp colour the tone too much imo. So far, for guitar it's quite decent and more open sounding than other multifx units at this price range. Sadly, due to COVID-19, all updates and bug fixes are halted
