Hotone Ampero - Loading 3rd Party IRs

I'm confused why you're still selecting a mic with an IR? Is that having an affect on the tone, and is it possible to disable that? I feel like most IRs aren't meant to have some other mic simulation on top.

I have a Mooer GE200 and have to say that there are a lot of physical similarities between that unit and this one. Do you know if Mooer makes this for Hotone? Or vice versa? Or maybe they’re both manufactured by someone else?

No, I think the similarities are there but they both use their own proprietary technology for sound design. Alsothe Ampero is touch screen operated.

Hi Sam, Noise Toys is the Australian distributor so this is my demo unit, we had one small batch of Ampero in that have sold out and a large order due in a few weeks that should see all our major dealers carrying stock. Where do you shop usually?

Nice. It's early in the game, but how do you rank this Amero in terms of the competition ? Is it a Player in the modeling scope in your opinion ? Thank You for the Demo !

I am not a ‘modelling guy’ in my everyday choices but I do own or have played extensively the big names. This in terms of sound is easily on par, being a smaller unit there are a limitations like less buttons and such but it’s intuitive and customisable in that respect. There will be regular firmware updates too, to grow the feature set.

A very affordable poor mans/any mans Headrush maybe ? It looks like a winner to me and sounds good from the demos and it has ENGL and FRIEDMAN amps ! Xlnt headphone amp, tuner,drum machine ?
