Just dropping in to let you know that Season 9 of HC has been confirmed as starting this Saturday 5th of March!! Hermitfans have been losing their marbles all day ^^ As far as I know reacting to Hermitcraft episodes is frowned upon unless the content is transformative / review, so you're probably better off sticking to the best of compilations & clips uploaded by fans... Speaking of which, if I can recommend the Hermits Singing compilations (a quick search should get you a nice selection, mostly from S6) I think you'd get a kick out of those! Love your enthusiasm dude, always fun to see people getting into HC :D

What Grian said about people not realizing how much work goes into redstone builds: "oh redstone is eazy i could build a piston door" that's so true. I have a decent knowledge of redston and I couldn't even make a simple triple piston extender for a 3x3 piston door

Redstone becomes easy as soon as you understand 3 basic concepts: 1. How each redstone component works (e.g. Comparators, Repeaters, Lecterns, etc...) 2. How redstone signals are transmitted, and 3. Redstone is just a series of logic gates. For example: If A then B, but not C. If not A then not B, but C. OR If A then B, C, and D, but not E If not A then only E. I don't know how in depth they teach logic gates in math or physics these days, but if you understand logic gates and look at redstone that way you will immediately have the ability to design your own complex redstone contraptions. That's why Doc who has a degree in electrical engineering and Tango and Impulse who were both software engineers are naturally good at redstone.

Every time I watch this video, and Grian shows his farm, I scream "BARGE!" because that design right there, inspired Grian's mega shop called the Barge in season 7 (which actually became the most popular hermitcraft shop of all time)

I like taking things like the super smelters (and sorters) and doing “builder” things around them to pretty it up. Means nothing is as efficient but it’s still automated and better suited for larger scale stuff

Yup. As an A- builder and B+ redstoner I hide all of my farms in builds unless it will affect the farm. Like, my iron farm, guardian farm,and drowned farm can't be hidden in builds because it would mess up the farm. And hiding my wither skele farm in a build would just be too big. Lol

If you do decide to react to Evo (please do!!!) Either react to Evo in a Nutshell (Hermitcraft Recap for Evo) or watch Solidarity (98 onwards) or Inthelittlewood's (81 onwards) post dragon because they are the most lore filled Also if you choose Solidarity's please watch Inthelittlewood's 81 before you do (because they are separated Povs and they are both important) or if you watch Littlewood's watch Solidarity's 98 first so you get their two separate povs so you get the most story. So summary Either Evo in a Nutshell Inthelittlewood 81 and Solidarity 98+ Or Solidarity 98 and Inthelittlewood 81+ Are your best options of what to watch if you decide to do Evo (Just saying if you choose Solidarity or Littlewood you won't see Grian because this is after G leaves Evo but you will still be seeing a lot of people you haven't seen before)

i would recommend checking out mumbo jumbos “every redstone component in minecraft explained” the video is like 2 years old i think so there will be some slight differences and new blocks but i’d still say it’s a good video to watch especially if you’re trying to get into learning redstone!!! :)

Grian was asking whether the super smelter was worth all the iron required to make it. The answer, is ABSOLUTELY. I always make super smelters in SMPs. Its so useful.

I usually build my super smelters in public areas on the SMPs (usually the SMPs are me and my friends, and friends of friends and so on, usually about 50 total players) and add a couple donation chests next to it for materials to make the furnace bigger. So stone, iron, redstone, gold etc. In that case, it pays for itself pretty quick.

Hey HSB! Can you please react to JeromeASF's video: "I broke Tommyinnit's server!" I know you've seen my many many comments on the matter, so if you have any intentions of checking it out, please tell me! Upon further consideration I think that video of his is the only one that really suits the style of your reaction videos, you don't have to watch any of his other content if you don't want to. The video is now a month old at this point, and I will keep commenting until the end of time or until you watch it, whichever comes first!

Thing is tho, Mumbos smelting one is pointless. All the iron you need for that is multiple full inventories with full stacks of iron which: A) You need to smelt to make the smelter....pointless B) Once you've smelted all that iron, the things you can do with that iron is insane, you're just wasting it because you don't need iron you've moved to Diamond etc. And it's not like you need more iron anyway and for food, that's why you've got smokers C) Smokers make food so quickly AND blast furnaces smelt iron etc. Quicker than a normal furnace It's so pointless At least with Grians it looks lovely and you can put 3 blast furnaces one side, furnaces in front and smokers the other side so everything smelt and cooks quickly

I have about 20 doubles chest full or irom blocks, most technical players with have an iron farm then a slime farm on like day 2 so the smelter is not pointless, you just missunderstand the point. It's not to smelt orr it's to smelt large quantites of cobblestone, stone, sand. If these were pointless there would not be designs for 1728 furnace arrays

@@rachelBradyni you're wrong tho, like even hermitcraft proves you're wrong since they use super smelters. 3) again super smelters smelt faster since they can do both food and materials hence why no one uses said furnaces So you are wrong on every account 1) no one who builds a super smelter got the iron by mining 2) no one uses a smokers as a super smelter is faster for all items so why use a smoker 3)

You know, whenever you see one of Mumbo's builds you seem to think that he's a genius and maybe even that he's the best at redstone, but that is very far from the truth. I don't really know how to say this without seeming rude or offensive, so instead, you might want to give The Mumbo Rant by CraftyMasterman a watch on your own time.

Fam, I personally enjoy mumbos content, his build, his personality, and the way he makes his videos. So yes for me, I enjoy his redstone videos the best and to me, yes he is a redstone god. It’s an opinion, so it’s nothing to take offense too or argue about. Just my opinion fam
