If you’re looking for the ohms watch till the end, don’t stop watching while he’s testing the plugs like I did! Lol! Thanks for the video!

Thanks for the video! Have what seems like a weak spark problem on my freshly rebuilt 04 motor got a rm stator and not it seems like it has super weak spark so I just bit the bullet and bought a brand new oem one but ima follow your steps and test my old oem stator the rm stator and this new oem stator on the way and compare all three! And see what I find Also are ya on Instagram quite a bit I’ve got a few questions see if I can talk to ya about them!

We've had several stators (and aftermarket ignitions) go bad and cause weak spark. Hopefully your new stator fixes the issue!

Sorry to bother you but i have a 05 trx450r that i just rebuilt and had spark for about a hour when trying to fire it up for the first time and it slowly went away and now have zero spark but i am getting power to the headlight when i kick it just no spark to the plug. What would you recommend I look for? I replaced the cdi, coil, stator and still dont have any spark. I did powder coat the frame and ground off the coating where the coil mounts to the frame so i wouldn't assume its a ground issue but i thought id add that in just incase you know something i dont( possibly needs another ground location) i watch all your videos and they have helped me a ton, thanks for all the usful info!!!

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with getting spark. Did you replace the CDI, stator, and coil with OEM units? Did you replace the blue "spark plug cap" as well, or just the coil unit? First thing I would check is for a good ground connection. The wiring harness ground connection must be grounded to the frame without powdercoat on it. Do you have an aftermarket kill switch wired in as well? Depending on how you wired it up - that may have its own ground connection..so make sure there isn't any powdercoat affecting that ground as well.

So I tested my stator on the bike (2005 TRX450r) and I have continuity to ground on all the legs of the exciter coil…safe to say it’s bad and the reason I have no spark? Wasn’t ready to spend more 💰

Yes that will definitely cause a no spark condition. You may be able to remove the protective rubber coating and trace the wires back to see if there are any breaks in them all the way back to the stator itself.

I did all of this but I'm getting higher numbers than you..is it a bad stator also if is putting out higher number can that cause to cook my cdi box ?

That's a good question, and I'm not 100% sure on the answer. What numbers are you getting?
