Blender: We improve our UI, remake the sculpt feature. And make a real time render engine Houdini: We improve literally everything Max: chamfer modifier? It is new guys?
@zed54494 жыл бұрын
3ds max has the better performance of all the DCCs and it's the king for Archviz, so there is no point in comparing it to Blender or Houdini because Houdini is mainly used for FX, Sims and Proceduralism ,most regular Artists don't use it only handful of Tech Artists & blender has the worse performance and many workflow issues...Autodesk just released indie version around the world 20$/ month, really great deal for Artists & Hobbyists :)
@edh6154 жыл бұрын
Nah sorry 3dmax is very slow to create something, blender with hops/bcutter is 100x more efficient, and for the heavy task just use houdini, 3dsmax is just being perpetuated by studios and cg schools that don't want to face reality @@zed5449
@GeneticEngineer4 жыл бұрын
@@edh615 Except most top 10 studios support the use of Blender and the only issue is the unpaid /no support side of it.
@zed54494 жыл бұрын
@@edh615 haha Blender fast don't make funny jokes, it's the slowest of them all, it can't handle anything more than 100k poly or few modifiers before it crashes and it's worse than 2.7x in edit mode performance 😂, 3ds max still the king in Archviz like i have said and also used in product design & video games no one can beat it not even Houdini which is a complete non-friendly for Artists and has a very steep learning curve...the reality will remain as it is because Studios know what they're doing and know where to put their money in, fanboyism can't change that :)

When Vellum was introduced, i've commented it looked great, but MD had a feature Vellum might never have: direct interaction with the cloth. Fast forward to today, SideFX slaps my face and delivers that feature. Madness. But i still prefer MD, my workflow has estalished, don't want to change. Then they introduce KineFX. Wow, that's what MD lacks of, it opens a lot of possibilities. "Maybe i should make everything relating to cloth in Houdini from now on, no need for another software". MADNESS. Still need to try it hand on though. But hugh respect for SideFX.
