I’m waiting for 20.5 to be released. There are a lot of improvements to APEX in 20.5.

Hi, thanks for the tutorial. A couple of questions, is this way of doing it - the sop solver - a new way, as opposed to using a vellum constraint properties node ? Also in other tutorials I've seen people changing the restlength scale not the restlength directly, is there a difference in those approaches ? Thanks.

You can use the vellum constraint node but if you want to use attributes in the vellum constraint node you'll need to use vex and I dont like using vex 😄. With sop solver you can do the same thing without using vex. The restlength scale is just a multiplier value on the restlength attribute so you can directly modify the rest length as well, you should get the same result.
