I am surprised you don't speak about CHOPS as an advandage for motion graphics in Houdini. That's a huge advantage! I come from C4D too and it was one of the aspects which attracted me to Houdini. C4D with audio is quite weak, in Houdini you have an incredible level of control with audio, noises, parametric waveforms (the motion FX view is killer) and so on. The animation editor is also really good, much more lisible and smart than in C4D in my opinion.

You are totally right! Also you can import midi files and that's amazing. I'm just not that experienced yet with chops, so I just focused on few basic things I know but sure for the future I'll definitely learn more chops and talk about them. Thanks for the additional Infos that could be helpful to viewers

I'm planning to create mini-films using Houdini and want to incorporate my own synth sounds for sound design ( I am a producer too ), do you think It's worth it to use the tools inside Houdini or adhere to my existing DAW/VSTs and just import wave files/MIDI?

at 14:29 - Yes, this is possible on Blender with modifiers like split edge, mask and procedural textures. We can also do this dynamically using Dynamic paint using vertex filters.

Yes! Blender offers a lot of great features that I miss in C4D. Wish I had more time to jump in blender too!!! Grease pencil looks amazing

hey there, I wonder if you found the mouse yet. in case you're still looking for it, the one in the picture is by a chinese brand "Red Dragon" i think this particular model is M901, its a good mouse. Generally they are called MMO Mouse and were made for MMO Games. Some other models include Razer Naga (the original company to perfect the design but now overpriced trash, avoid), Logitech G600 (very good), Corsair Scimitar and of course Red Dragon and HAVIT have their own models. I have been using different MMO mice since 2011 and wont use anything else anymore :)

I'm using a free plugin called primitive sketch! You can draw primitives and custom objects on any surface... I'm still wondering why it's not in C4D because it's so handy

The 'i' is NOT pronounced as a 'y'. Sorry but that is the most stupid thing I've EVER heard, even from people with a very thick French accent I've never heard this ridiculous mispronunciation before. I know you can pronounce the 'i' correctly because you constantly say HOUDINI instead of HOUDYNY. So, not 'CYNEMA 4D', but 'CINEMA 4D', and 'STILL' instead of 'STYLL' ...
