Insane work! Were the pieces fractured using voronoi or boolean fracture?
@HangYuriYangFX4 жыл бұрын
I used material fracture with custom points. I think it uses voronoi inside!

Hi Friend. Again Thank you. I have smashing results ;-) Is this in Hou 18 or 17.5. I am still using the latter. 17.5. Thanks.

In the hip file on the Gumroad page, is it possible to see how you managed to make surface only building parts into extruded ones? I have a Kitbash3D building and it's all made of surfaces and I want to know how you solved the issue
@HangYuriYangFX2 жыл бұрын
It’s mostly just polyextrude!

Hello your work and effort really great.. Can you tell me have you add debris if yes how? And then how to add dust?

Where did you buy the building model? Which model is it?
@HangYuriYangFX3 жыл бұрын
9 meili it is a paid model pack... you would have to pay by yourself

Did you use vorionoi fracture or rbd, if rbd how did you make the fracturing so small?
@HangYuriYangFX3 жыл бұрын
I used the rbd material fracture with custom points(which basically means using a regular voronoi fracture... if you click into the SOP, it is the same). Not sure what so small means? I have different groups so that I can fracture them separately.. maybe that’s why?

@@HangYuriYangFX Yes, btw do you plan on making a tutorial on building destruction soon, I'm a beginner
@HangYuriYangFX3 жыл бұрын
Jonas Mortensen I do not have a plan unfortunately :(
@jonasmortensen12523 жыл бұрын
@@HangYuriYangFX Oh okay, do you have any tips on learning Houdini better then?
@HangYuriYangFX3 жыл бұрын
Jonas Mortensen don’t try to learn everything. Pick one FX you like the most and focus on that(typically I won’t suggest destructions... you need to take care points and primitives, it is too much). You will learn a lot of the rest during the learning. Go through the documentation of the solvers a few times and all the vex functions as well.

Hey, so Kitbash building are destruction ready? i have the free one and it is just planes
@HangYuriYangFX3 жыл бұрын
man, it is totally not! I had to fix everything
@5150Amrit3 жыл бұрын
@@HangYuriYangFX Suppose that I have made a building object in maya with textures, then if I import that .obj or .fbx file in Houdini, how can I convert that normal .obj file with the planes into destruction ready geometry in Houdini? Could you suggest any video tutorial or course from you or from anyone else to help on this?
@HangYuriYangFX3 жыл бұрын
@@5150Amrit I am not sure if there is any tutorial showing how to fix models for FX... I learned that from work initially.. Overall, I use polyextrude and polycap to get rid of planes and fill out missing surfaces respectively.. the goal is to make everything a closed volume (no open surface)
@5150Amrit3 жыл бұрын
@@HangYuriYangFX Oh, I'll try these. Thanks.
@HangYuriYangFX3 жыл бұрын
@@5150Amrit It shouldn't be too difficult if the model is simple. You can just sort of doing them one by one, or one kind by one kind.. A much more complicated model might need some automated detecting stuff..

It shatters too easily. Its almost completely shattered before it even hits the ground.
