Really nice tips. I might've to look into mops next. Thanks.

Very nice, but unfortunately you don't show the polyextrude node to understand how to configure it to work with the mops node

Very interesting. When you have time to add the link to the file, this will be appreciated. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. There is so much to learn at first !

Thanks for this video. Helpful to see others work as often we get stuck in our ways in houdini. Can you share the hip file or show your settings for some of the other nodes. I've been using houdini for a year and just don't ever use attribute promote so i think my settings in that or the polyextrude aren''t right. I know you want to keep these short and sweet so I understand why you didn't go into detail, but maybe just highlighting the nodes real quick as you pass over them would allow anyone interested to just pause the vid for a split second to get the settings if they have a weird issue trying to recreate.

Sorry to be a bother, but the link to the hip file didn't work (it took me to a 404 error page).

How do you transfer the position for example if you would like the cubs to raise instead of being extruded?
@ProfessionallyIncorrect4 жыл бұрын
Take the attribute that you’re creating, likely “mask” if you haven’t renamed it, and use that to drive @P.y. In a wrangle, it’d be @P.y *= @mask. If you’re unfamiliar, *= means to take the original value and multiple it against whatever is after the =. Fully written out, it’s the same as @P.y = @P.y * @mask;.
@TakeLerr54 жыл бұрын
@@ProfessionallyIncorrect I wrote the wrangle right after mask from geometry node as you said but nothing happens, but thanks for your time I appreciate it.

Great tut besides one thing....it would be great if we saw how you were promoting the attributes. You never actually show the node settings....

Cool, thanks! Just a note, the File used link gives an error!

are MOPs a houdini built-in tools or are them a third party plugin?
