🚫NOTE: Apologies for my mistake = the "Bullet Data" tab settings are totally unnecessary for Vellum Grains!

Nice work. It encourages me to creat more video and learn new tools.

Maybe not worthy of a full tutorial, but I'd love to know how you've linked the particle color to velocity?
@YFJSR3 жыл бұрын
@@cryptthing1745 Here's how to do it. Back in the DOP net add a POP Color, select the "grains" group, set "Color Type" to Ramp, adjust the range to your liking (I did 0 to 2), and the VEXpression to " ramp = length(@v); " In Redshift, for the grains material, bring in the Cd attribute using the "RSUserDataColor", set Attribute Name to Cd. That's all! ✌️

How do you make the plastic shader? I like how the light reflects around the edges of where it rips.
@YFJSR3 жыл бұрын
It's super basic, I just selected the Plastic preset on Redshift, set Refraction to 1 and the Reflection roughness to something like 0.25-0.35. Hope that answers your Q! 👍

After the dop net sim the cloths are tearing without even the grains intersecting it...what to do??
@YFJSR3 жыл бұрын
Hard to say with little info, but check everything to do with the Weld constraints. So check the 1. Weld Constraints Node and 2. Attribute Noise node. Maybe the threshold global scale is too low, and that’s why the cloth un-welds itself just by the force of gravity.
@bhushankandalkar31043 жыл бұрын
@@YFJSR it dosent in weld, the points are welded to the frame but the centre part of the cloth goes down with gravity and then shatters
@YFJSR3 жыл бұрын
@@bhushankandalkar3104 OK in the Edge Fracture node, did you enable the "New Points Group"? You need to enable that to get the new points to weld. Then, in the Weld node, make sure you have it set to "Points" mode and input the newpts group. - That's all I can say for now. (If this doesn't work then please watch the Slightly advanced Vellum video by Rohan Dalvi)!

@@bhushankandalkar3104 I had the same issue so I started tweaking Breaking Threshold value and for a cloth 2x2 m I found the value of 1.5 good for a start.
