That was EXACTLY what I took that bullshit collection for too! I can't believe people didn't call them out for it. They basically said "oh we're soooo lux and above it all. We can just, not acknowledge that our shade range has been exclusive for years, we can even put the same old crap in the cheapest looking plastic packaging ever, and people will buy it regardless. We define luxury after all!". I'm not exaggerating when I say I truly, madly, deeply despise Hourglass.

Miser's Makeup - Người Hà Tiện ikr? I kept waiting for the backlash but guess people didn’t connect it? Idk I did notice their holiday palette didn’t immediately sell out and maybe that will wake them the hell up because it might take time foe such a popular brand to have people finally seeing what is what but seriously how can you not with those shades? I remember the blush collection with the “deeper shade” and t was disappointing, like only deep shades are reddish not the other “special” shades they are famous for? I don’t think I’ll ever buy their products.

@@claricelyles8398 i think hourglass has seemed to care about inclusivity. they posted some things about BLM, and their stick foundation does include darker colors. as with any brand, you don't know everything from the day you begin exploring their line. you learn, and as you learn, you discover- hey this brand has great powders- oh i dont have a shade? let me ask. so you ask a few times, and when nothing is forthcoming you drop the brand. what people like tina are doing is letting it be known that hourglass is not interested in us.

Only a few minutes in... they catfish with their photoshopping of the colors! Same with the all over powder they release in 2020, dust advertised as a nice chocolate color. I’m finished with them and my last was that ghost collection 😒 still mad. Edit* yep no support from me the colors hardly show up and i have the bronzer mini it can hardly show as a highlight. I’ve just discovered Danessa Myricks and i’m going to support her and her products because they are inclusive and a small business.

That 2020 Holiday unlocked palette is what I use day to day (medium-tan skin tone, unless I'm outdoors a lot). I was getting a bit worried about what I would do when it ran out, so I'm happy to learn that two of the colors are repeats from it! Wish I could repurchase that same palette though, because having a blush and a highlight too makes it so easy for travel.

The swatches of the foundation proves the point...that’s a range for medium dark and dark skin. It leaves out about fifty million additional shades. I actually lobe the color Sable but I’ll find another brand with a similar shade. Bye, Hourglass!

I’m NW 25 in the summer and the lightest shade in the trio is the perfect finishing powder for me, so how the Fxk will this work for anyone with richer skin tones? Their darkest shade would be my winter bronzer shade! I’m so disappointed bc I’ve loved them for so long. It hurts that they’re deaf. My $ will stay in my bank.

When I first got into makeup I got only a few things from them, a mini dim light, a lipstick, mini setting powder, concealer and the sunscreen. I never did bite the bullet and get a blush or “bronzer”. They just didn’t seem dark enough. I’m about an NC42. I feel like anything they do now will be too little too late.

just like you tina, i purchased this palette. i believe we are shade twins, and just like you it works decently on me. the bronzer is ofc not going to offer any bronzing on its own- however, it works as a bronzer topper. i'm really disappointed with hourglass, but i have a hunch that they will be coming correct with the volume 3. if they don't i believe this will be career suicide. every day i see their products in the sale section at sephora. however, i am a little torn on whether i return the shades or not. i do not have the original, and if the volume 3 is much darker i believe volume 2 would be a good additional palette for highlighting under the eyes and adding glow. would it be hypocritical to return it now, but purchase it again if they have a WOC friendly volume 3?

My thoughts and I am not going to front. As someone who was a lover of Hourglass over the years, I feel about them as I do any other brand. I do not have the energy to shame any brand to cater to me and anyone who looks like me. They either do and get my money or they don't. It is like begging someone to love you when they could care less about you. There are too many choices these days to force any brand to do anything. When you find out the person you lust after doesn't feel the same way. You may shed a tear, but it is essential that you move on. And the bait and switch on vol 2 is inexcusable. What do they think is going to happen when people actually get the products and see the blatantly false advertizing?

I mean they keep doing it because people keep supporting them.. to actually have a 2nd and 3rd pallet come out years and years later. Too faced did a better inclusive job in making a similar type of products.. I haven't purchased from them since they first released their first pallet and and their blushes. I have since purchased a lipstick set from them on sale and thats it.. even if they come out with more inclusive shades we still don't need to give them our dollars.. let them suffer and remember that they can not treat people the way they have done. I mean people are finally doing it to j💫

Yo, I'm as pale as they come and I could definitely still make that palette work for me... which is entirely unacceptable if you're even ATTEMPTING to work for deep skin tones!! It's not like I could afford hourglass before, but now they're definitely on my "nope" list.
