The cool thing now is the 30 min break can be done on duty not driving not just off duty. The 7-3 and 8-2 splits also come in handy on those tight windows for the 01 or 90. Stay safe Driver!!

@@TravisKinley You might also touch on the new 2 hour adverse driving conditions where you can add 2 hours to both the 14 and the 11 clocks. The ELD providers are having issues with that new rule but there should be a option soon that allows you to choose “Adverse Driving Condition” then you add a note such as car wreck Mile marker 56 on I-40 in Oklahoma. This will stop the 11 and 14 hour clocks for up to 2 hours. Trying to explain these clocks and split sleeper births to Someone who doesn’t drive is like explaining calculus to someone who doesn’t know Geometry. 😂😂. Good luck on 2.0 😁.

Travis do most truck stops around the country have some sort of workout facility or is it basically up to the driver to go for a run or walk etc?

Great question. I have never been in a truck stop with any sort of workout facility. A lot of folks get memberships to the nationwide chains instead. That or I’ll just get it in right there in the parking lot. Push-ups, jump rope, a lot of stuff you can do - just wear gloves. 😉

your 5-axle tractor-trailer is equipped with a sliding fifth wheel. you find that the current weights are 10,900 pounds on the steering axle and 34,600 pounds and the driver axles assume 500 pounds for each fifth wheel hole which way should you slide the fifth wheel to balance the weight on the tractor and be compliant with federal weight limitson the tractor axles

I imagine youve handled your problem already, but in that case, I wouldn't slide my weight on the 5th wheel. Since you're commenting on an older video when I was dry van, I would slide my tandems before I slid my 5th wheel. And id slide my tandems forward toward the trailer a couple holes if I could. I never slid 5th wheel until Id done all I could on my tandems first . Hope that helps.
