@@ecMathGeek pretty sure they already knew which actors were gonna be chosen since casting works for an entire season. They picked good extras for the rest , but the one amazing thing about house MD is that despite everything, the backstories, character arcs always made sense. Firing Dr fraud also made sense coz an exact replica adds no value to house. House wants contrasting opinions. That's why he was angry when foreman went all zen and wasn't arguing with house in another episode, it's why before chase was fired, he was basically becoming houses lapdog, did what he asked no argument, and therefore negated his value on the team, casuing his own firing. He also became a whiny toddler screaming at house for his bad tactics when foreman wasnt falling for them - proving he was focusing on the wrong things. He needed to become his own man which is why even the dialog house said when he fired him was so on point - either youve learned everything you can or you haven't learned anything at all. The only thing in the entire show that never made sense and was out of character was the fact that house respected foreman. It must have been the bad acting by the actor coz it completely invalidates house's beliefs.

Can someone please explain the firing bit? Meaning they are off House' super-charged diagnotic team, and return to their usual departments at the same hospital? Presumably, this is an intellectual snub, not a career ending event. They won't be selling pencils on street corners two months later, right?
@spinmaster08 ай бұрын
They are not of this hospital. They came from outside for the chance to work with "The Great Dr House". Think of it as a very long job interview where he can get rid of you for any reason. If they don't get to be in his team or if he 'eliminates' them, they will just try somewhere else. Doctors are not exactly expendable so they will get jobs in no time.
@otakugamer44505 ай бұрын
They were doctors from outside the hospital who were either new to the occupation or already established in a separate medical practice. They were all applicants for it, but there were 2 spots, and he was just eliminating then. Their careers weren't ruined from it, but i think there was one possible arrest from someone who was obsessed with cureing polio
