Clueless lol.. 3 was perfect for them
@beingheardmedia63396 жыл бұрын
Well he does all the laundry so mom doesn't have to stress over that. But otherwise, yeah I would absolutely have to have in-house washer and dryer. I live in a studio now (yup, house poor so I'm living vicariously through these episodes, lol) and it SUCKS having communal space. I eventually gave up and switched to pickup and drop off just for my own peace of mind. It's a stretch. I may not be able to do it forever. But picking my washed, dried and FOLDED laundry sure beats sitting like a vulture waiting to see who's finished their laundry or having to take someone's clothes out of the dryer because they still haven't been picked up after 2 hours.

I would have gone with the 3rd one too. They would have had everything they wanted except location. I suspect though, like the husband said, he didn't want to be bothered with yard work, which IS and issue. On the other hand, they could have bought a landscaping contract possibly with the money they saved. And they could bike downtown if they wanted. Or Uber it to avoid parking fees. Or even walk in good weather (without the baby of course; they'd need a babysitter but they're going to need that eventually anyway). I think they would have gotten better value for their money. But they also like traveling and apparently intend to do it again once the kid is old enough to come along. That doesn't leave time for a lot of home maintenance.

Learninghowtorebuild I think they made a good choice. Yes they are going to have to move, but they will enjoy their baby and home and have the excitement, when they are ready and have grown some more to sell and re-buy. To much people dnt live for the momment and end up setteling for what dose not make them happy. Because it is seen as the wiser option.

Lucie Giraud yeah, not so smart move. They stayed for lifestyle, definitely not for growth. You have to sacrifice when you have children. 1 mile from your lifestyle will not be bad but I guess if you raise your child in that environment, maybe they will adapt, but good luck at sharing 1 bathroom w/ a small child, that would have been an automatic NO

He didn't want to do any work at all in my opinion. Didn't want to fix the backyard in house number #3, nor by the look of his face and tone, wouldn't have wanted to fix up the basement into a laundry room in #3. He uses the excuse of because there is a baby on the way as if a baby stays a baby forever. When the kid is like 4/5, he could have started on the work. They made the right decision because they didn't want to put in any work and didn't need to with the condo.

I see all the comments saying how they picked the wrong house but I disagree. Both houses more than likely had some "hidden" problems that were just waiting to be uncovered because that's the nature of buying something old and wood frame as well. The condo, for their lifestyle was the best choice. Low to no maintenance and when they travel, they can lock it up without having to worry that it will get burglarized as easy as one of those homes would.
