I hated all of those houses. And they picked one that was only 800 sq ft? They will be ready to move in less than 5 years i'm sure. The 2nd house was the best after taking out that horrible red carpet and other old crap.

Insider tip: the second house didn't have air conditioning or central heat and was 100+ degrees inside when we were filming. Adding central air would have cost tens of thousands of dollars. Also, no onsite parking in a busy part of town.

Interesting. The A/C issue can be fixed, but the no onsite parking and busy part of town would have eliminated that one for me as well.

Everything that they were asking for... especially in south amboy. No way in hell they would have found a house. $195k for that rancher. not bad. I would have asked for $185k. That back yard was where most of that money is

I live in San Jose, zip 95118. Pretty much right in the middle of Silicon Valley. I wouldn't be able to afford to live here if I hadn't bought my house many years ago. However, the homes up on the Peninsula are much more expensive. Those are in Atherton, Hillsborough, Portola Valley, Los Altos, Palo Alto, etc. The prices in my area are cheap compared to those. All perspective.

Moved from the US to Australia and was shocked at how expensive houses are. 3 bedrooms is starting at $400,000 and that's for something built in the 70s.

I take forever to find the house in Texas what I like . Picky , Picky. I was from Jersey , I have no problem finding the house in Jersey but expensive, choosing colonial or cape cod homes . Not big fan of ranch style homes

Totally the wrong choice. Characterless, overpriced, tiny rooms and neither the bathroon nor the kitchen are what they said they wanted. How much would it have cost to take out the steps on the cheap house and put in a ramp. Then he could wheel his equipment up and down.
