When you look back at the series, you start to realize that the number one mistake all of House's friends make is *trying to change him or make him act like a regular person.* They go to absurd lengths to achieve this, and often do things that would cause normal people to stop being anywhere near them. That House continues to work with them is both a sign that he knows they do it solely because they care, and that he is desperate for the companionship. But after *seasons* of this, it really isn't a suprise that he drives his car through Cuddy's house...what's more shocking is that it took him so long to break.

They think I'm a total disappointment because I didn't want to go to college, but they are still giving me random things (a lot of which I would rather they didn't, I don't need them and they just take up space). Hell they just gave me a check to help through these trying times with covid

Not exactly. Arlene knew. She was not easy, but in some weird twisted way, she loved her daughter and wanted the best for her. And the best, according to Arlene was House. She knew Cuddy won't listen, so... she came up with a crazy plan. Most parents who love their children work with what they know. Kids might not always appreciate it, but they are doing what they can. With what they know from their parents and the world, what they think can help, and their characters. It's not always right, or even nice, but this is what they have. Arlene was ready to destroy the little they had with her daughter in order for her to get back with House and be happy. This is her mother's sacrifice, probably the last one she could do for her.

Cuddy's crazy face at 8:32 has made me attracted to her in a whole new and different way than I'm normally attracted to her.
@827Drew3 жыл бұрын
'You're right. That was Cuddy's strategy all along. She wanted me to think that she desperately needed me to be there...so I wouldn't be there.' See that sounds convoluted, but it isn't. House isn't the guy you call when you need someone to 'be there'. He'd probably come, but he's just going to be standing around.

This is the best version of this team. Chase, Foreman, 13, and Taub. I love each of them, and was so sad as each of them left and/or took other roles.

What kind of mother files a lawsuit against her own daughter
@Goldap10004 жыл бұрын
Watch whole episode. She's not as bad as you think.
@FFKonoko4 жыл бұрын
@@Goldap1000 no, she is. The full explanation is that she's not actually filing the lawsuit and the entire stressful affair of threatening the livelihood of house and her daughter and repeatedly insulting her, while causing cuddy and house to repeatedly argue, is in fact some chess game to try and get her and house back together and avoid living with her daughter in case on gets in the way of house swinging by to shtup her daughter. It doesn't work and is a truly awful plan, costing legal fees, time, and even potentially endangering patient lives. Rather than just, say, telling cuddy she thinks house and her are good together and then getting the same explanation she got at the end of this episode. Yeah, that's not really a good mother.
@Goldap10004 жыл бұрын
@@FFKonoko I'm not saying she's good mother, but ultimately she wanted her daughter to be happy with House. It's definitely not as bad as filing lawsuit to grab cash from your daughter and man who saved your life, right?
@FFKonoko4 жыл бұрын
@@Goldap1000 all the stress of actually filing a lawsuit, as well as incurring legal fees, but frivolously and for literally no reason. Nothing she wanted was beyond literally just saying but the show needed to contrive the motive. The greedy mother portrayal at least still cared about her other daughter, but this motivation shows such an incredible lack of communication and overreaction just for something so simple... I can concede that you're right that most people would say it isn't as morally bad an act. It's bad in different ways, for much worse reasons and it makes personally more irritating.

if Cuddy didn't want House there, why would she even tell him about it? She had no problems telling her mother and the lawyer in the room that she didn't want House there
