I have always had prepayment keys,now top up cards&now a smart meter aswell,for myself personally I always have found this great for not having a massive bill every 3 months,my 5 children are adults now,this has been such a valuable learning experience for us all as they make sure that we check our meter most days& are aware of switching lights and other things off when not needed,lots of love❤❤❤😊😊😊😊

My dad was in army. I tape my boxes the same. I remember my mum packing and cleaning the house. The night before we moved out we would stay at a neighbour home. So house was extra clean for move out inspection.

Really therapeutic going through and throwing away things. You could put the memory boxes in the shed/garage for now before going to the storage unit, will give you more room. You are doing brilliantly. Love the new house. Love you all xx

I don't understand how your electric key thing works, we don't have that here. Another thing I find different is you have to buy your own stove, rental homes here have stoves. Funny how different countries do things. My hubby is a great believer in " we might need that one day", I don't bother consulting him any more I just chuck things away. You know the rule, if you haven't used a certain thing in a year then get rid of it. Love your coffee table and loo rolls are definately important Toby lol. I have a heat pump and I love it ,I have saved so much money through the winter. I also have a smart meter so can top up on the app it's so much easier than going the shop, love your new house the kitchen is lovely xx

Just a thought you could take all the memory boxes to the storage shed and just keep one box that you add everyone items to until you sort out space in the new house then you will have space for packing boxes. And you don’t need to access memory boxes all the time. Just a thought trying to help with space 😊

Moving can be stressful especially as the moving date gets close You never know much how you accumulate until you move house. New home new beginnings. If we were meant to stay in one place we'd have roots instead of feet.❤❤❤❤😆😆

If possible get a room or two at the new house cleaned and painted and whatever else needs doing and then take boxes that you have packed over to the new house. Plus one other tip, this is a good time to thin out how much toys that the children have. How many do they actually and really need? When my son was little I used to thin out his toys and put some in a box and tuck it away for a month or two and then switch them. He was always so happy to see his old toys and it gave him a chance to play better. But as he outgrew toys we would pack some away for keeping and some we either gave away or sold.

Would you mind doing a vlog about renting in your country? I am in the US, and it is different here. If we are renting, we do not buy anything for the apartment/rental that doesn't leave with us. The landlord/owner provides all the new carpeting/flooring and appliances (not always a washer and dryer though). Also, the rental should be cleaned by the landlord before moving in. Although I think most of us do clean it ourselves before moving in. Any repairs, like the heating/electrical you mentioned Ben having to do is also done by the landlord. Do you get compensated for any money you spend on these items? So happy about your family's new move! I can't imagine living that close to the water, so lovely.

It's social housing, sort of like what you'd call the projects in the US. People tend to live in these homes long term but when they do move out the flooring all gets ripped out.

As you have access to both properties at the moment, are you able to stack boxes in a room that wont have work happening in the new house? I would imagine in bens car (if you can move seats/put them down), even Zoes car (we moved once using a Zafira) .. you would fit a number of boxes and Ben could slowly syphon some boxes each evening after work? It might give you some space in the RAF house as your packing? Also Ben was saying about the prepay electric and if its any good. We used to top up, but if your like me and forget to bring the key with you when popping out, it was a bit of a pain, especially as British gas had a limit on how much you could top up at once... pretty sure it was like £70 max so it wasn't even a "once a month job" as such and we couldn't at the time get a smart meter for online top ups so we went back to traditional direct debit for ease, but I certainly did like the feeling of not having another bill coming through the door! That said you sort of pay a premium for it, as here in England, the unit cost is dearer by a few pence on pay as you go! x

Zoe, amazon sells bed risers all different heights and shapes, so you could rise the bed a bit and be able to put certain plastic bins under. They could be helpful. You could paint them or use your vinyl to cover them. My daughter used them at college so she could put plastic bins under her twin bed. FYI. Peace & Love 💜 From Sweet Home Alabama

Hi zoe and Ben and kids Ben id get a metre put in not a key metre as you pay more with the key metre and you would be in a mess if the key metre ran out of money as in middle of night at least with an quarterly metre your guaranteed electric and pay like you paid jn other house I pay my gas and electric monthly .my zoe your getting on with the packing moving house is one of the most stressful times but you'll get their the big ones will be a big help packing their own stuff .I've been in this house 31 years and i said to my son I'm going to hire a small skip and go theroughthehouse and declutter it as your too right zoe you have things you keep and you say they might come in handy and they never do love to all fran xxx
