I only understood 20% of what was going on in HOC . I am an indian, and I don't know NOTHING about American Politics, but , I now I have watched HOC for like....3-4 times. I think it surpasses most of the Netflix shows because .............. the way the scenes have been filmed are ....... its like a mystery , like , HOW IS THIS SO GOOD. In the scene where Russo dies, instead of focusing on russo's face, they focused on Kevin's mouth. It's was VERY VERY skillful and uniquely done , not many people would have though of that . The BEST BEST BEST thing about HOC was the way , the camer's were placed. It was as if........... all this was happening in real life and not being filmed. In the scene where the American man is beheaded by the terrorists, instead of panning the camera to each person on the table and THEN towards the Underwoods, they decided to move the camera slowly in the middle , from one end of the table to other , honestly , for me its one of the greatest most terrifying moment in the film/TV history of hollywood. In another scene after Kevin spacey returns from the hospital, and he and Claire are talking about bringing the Conways down after Spacey just had his pulse checked, they are both sitting on the opposite side of the table, Spacey on one end of the sofa. And robin on a chair on the other side. And in that scene the lighting , the ....... the panning of the camera, it is just so AWESOME and ...... unbelievable accurate. They know exactly where to cut-off Frank from the scene and speak into the camera, best thing the crew did. Let's not forget the awesome speech frank gave , in which he cuts off midway and says , "blah blah bullshit bullshit ," and then he moves around the room and speaks into the camera. The way camera follows him and ............. god I am not a movie nerd , I don't know what that technique is called , but ..................... I LOVE LOVE LOVE HOC so much that for some time I wished to BE like Kevin Spacey's character. There are TV shows that have best cinematography , best director, best actors, best dress up , best everything , this is one of those shows for me.
