I also think this is Robin's song, He had a very strong interest in history. Love this different slant on music, they could write anything and make a hit.

I agree- except Eleanore Rigby was done first. So they had a nice template to imitate it. They often did the Beatles better than the Beatles.

@@mikewynne7131 Brian Epstein had a choice. The Beatles or the Bee Gees. The Beatles were a few years older, and I believe that he chose the Beatles primarily because they promoted drugs and the current culture better. In some ways, I think I'm ok with that for many reasons.

Eleanor Rigby is my favorite Beatles song; but, if the Bee Gees were influenced by it, they completely surpassed the original! House of Lords has a more authentic Baroque style, and the contents of the lyrics are better suited to the genre than those of the Beatles song.
