Helaena is a Dreamer, but her prophecies go unheeded like Cassandra. Many have said she is autistic. Some signs that support this theory is that she covers her ears when stressed, and was not happy when Jaehaerys was taken out of his routine to attend the council meeting . Last season she demonstrated lightning quick addition skills when talking to Alicent, who was trying, but failing to understand her daughter. Helaena communicates differently and displays emotion differently as well. She disconnects with her surroundings. Example, referring to her just murdered son as the boy vs by name or my son. Helaena is far from stupid and certainly not a babbler, but is often dismissed as such.

Qyburn probably used an old design too. The dragon Meraxes was killed in Dorne by a scorpion bolt during Aegon The Conqueror’s first attempt to subjugate Dorne.

He didn't invent them, that's why book fans were fuming at the mouth over rhaegals death. Scorpions can't pierce dragon scales, dragon scales are harder than steel

@@hokagedlo6133 According to the books. Meraxes was shot in the eye, which is the only vulnerable spot. Rhaegal got shot in the chest. So Meraxes’ death makes a bit more sense. Dragons can die many ways. But I don’t want to spoil HOTD for anyone who hasn’t read Fire and Blood.

Great reaction. I think the message was the message. Blood repeated Daemon's words "a son for a son". When Cheese asked what to do if they can't find Aemond and the screen cut away, I think Daemon gave the order that any son will do. Daemon is a soldier of war. This feels like his brand of brutally.

6:45 I am frankly disappointed at how many people misunderstand this. No, it's not the same thing with Rhaenyra. No, Cole did not "make a huge deal" out of it. *It was* a big deal. 1) His oath as a knight was a big part of who he was and the very reason he saw himself as a good man. Part of that was his oath of chastity, and he gave it up *without hesitation, without making a big deal of it* for Rhaenyra. 2) He loved her, he had sacrificed everything that mattered to him for her, and to make it all right he asked her to marry him. And *in the same conversation* an immature young Rhaenyra asked him to be her little manwhore instead. 3) *That* is what he refused. Being further humiliated by the woman who he had given up everything for. Not having more sex. He couldn't give a fuck about his oath of chastity at that point because... guess what? His chastity is gone. It's done. *It doesn't grow back.* 4) Sex with grandma Alicent at this point is just that. Just sex. He doesn't love Alicent, he doesn't have plans about having a future with her, and he *most certainly* doesn't have an oath of chastity to uphold anymore. So no... he did *NOT* make a big deal about breaking his oath (although he should have) and this is *ABSOLUTELY NOT THE SAME* as what happened with Rhaenyra. 😅

Lots of things they messed up with the end, you got off lucky. Spoiler Alert... In the book there were 3 kids not 2, two boys and a girl and Helaena would always bring them to Alicent to say goodnight but the assassins, known only as Blood and Cheese, got there first and had bound and gagged Alicent and strangled her handmaiden. When they demanded a son for a son she offered herself but Cheese responded by threatening that Blood would grape the Princess Jaehaera, who was only 6 or 7 at the time, out of boredom if she didn't pick one soon so Helaena picked her younger son, Maelor. Cheese then whispered to Maelor "Hear that boy? Your mummy wants you dead" before Blood chopped the head off of Prince Jaehaerys, the older son, instead in a single blow. Something's wrong with George's head, I swear lol

The book its based on is an unreliable narrator. It's meant to be a maesters history from different sources. If the show deviates a bit its fine so long as the big public events stay the same.

I pretty much just treat it as a separate canon myself, Game of Thrones trained me well for that lol

YES, Helaena has a lot of visions! And they have always been correct, although they have had to be translated. The man asked, what if we can't find Aemond and Daemon smirked. He obviously answered if you can't find the former King's son kill the present King's son! 👍👍😉😉👱‍♀👱‍♀👗👗👠👠❤❤

Aegon has not undergone a conversion for the better. He's a young man who sent his illegitimate children into the fighting pits and placed bets on that. Remember he told his brother he didn't want to be knig and begged for the chance to board a ship to escape. It is only when he raised his sword and heard the people cheer him that he egotistically thought being king might be a laugh. Don't be fooled. He's a psychopath, in clinical terms far worse than the sadist that was Joffrey, and I'm sure you'll see further proof of that in the show.

@@alik5895 aegon is not like joffrey, in the show he does deplorable things not out of cruelty but out of apathy. He actually feels a lot, as we will see in the next episodes, so he can't be a psychopath. We should also keep in mind that he was forced to marry and conceive heirs with his sister, so his concept of consent may be a bit skewed. He's also the first firstborn son in westerosi history's who's not an heir, and this has had a major effect on his character (he feels insufficient and self hatred) compound that with the lack of love he recieves from both his parents in the show makes him someone who's always pining for approval and love. He actually very much loves his children with helaena, and even though he was forced to marry her, he cares for her and sees her as a pure being, unlike himself. He's quite compelling as a character. In the books, he's not as bad at S1 aegon
