Daemon wasnt making fun of his brother losing a son, he told a poem in his dead nephews honor, it was a somber poem that had the line "King for a day" but wasnt a joke. Otto Hightower just framed it that way to the King, to sabotage Prince Daemon.

Can't watch that recap. The guy got it wrong right from the start. The choice wasn't BETWEEN the child and the mother. The mother was going to die no matter what. The choice was to try to save the baby or not. So many people get that wrong, and base their opinion on Visceras because of it. It's infuriating.

That bit at the start about 'the lords' choosing Viserys 'just because he is a man' is an oversimplification. Not all the votes went to him, and some lords liked Rhaenys better or thought her being a woman was less important than her more primary lineage, or simply were closer to the Velaryons, but favoured the consensus so as not to risk splitting the realm and having a succession crisis.

This show is just confusing. People have children just have 2-3 children from episode to episode etc. I mean the show is okay but it doesn't reach the level of GoT, not even close. Not to mention all the "diversity" feels out of place in that setting.
