True but I kind of wish Helaena showed more emotion at least once she got into the room. It could’ve been an appropriate thing to end the episode before the credits role or something.

Tim and Clariss at the start: Daemon is badass. Me(knowing what is about to happen) "Is he though?" Aegon II is at least trying to be a good king. While naive, him wanting to give the man's sheep back and pay the smiths shows he's not a heartless tyrant and using power to bully people like Joffrey. I see as well his attempts to include Jaehaerys at his council's is making up for how King Viserys never did the same(and king Viserys could have done so much if he was a better father to all his children and not just Rhaenyra). Daemon definitely wanted any son killed at the end, as we didn't see his reaction when asked "What if we can't find Aemond?" PS:Anyone who supports Daemon after this event is evil.

Call Aegon II a drunk or youthful, but he tried to be a good father to his son after Viserys I never showed him true affection against his heir(remember how he felt that Viserys didn't even like him in episode 9). And he may be naive in terms of ruling, but he clearly wants to be a good king and help the people, even if he is seeking out his title as the "magnanimous". I already lean Green(since Rhaenyra is not without fault, no matter what reactors say), but I was glad they gave Aegon some redeeming qualities this season at least.

Aegon never wanted to be king. If it were up to him, Rheanyra would be the official Queen. Even Alicent was willing to accept it. It was Otto who screwed things up. And in the books Aegon and Haelena had one more son named Maelor.

@@TimberlakeTigerGirl Aegon was adult man. He might not wanted to be King initially, but he CHOSE to go with his mother and Green council plan. I am aware of Maelor - but was not born yet in show, and regardless, in book Jaehaera is still the only one left heir he has as she outlives all her brothers and uncles.

To make Haelena choose between her sons, so Jaehaera wouldn't get SA by the assassins, that would've been more ruthless. But as a person who watch this show with my mom, I wouldn't want her to see this sht happening, tbh.

If you're talking about the Kingsguard, then no, they sword to defend the whole family. "The Hedge Knight"has a prince exploit this fact to win a trial by combat. Up until Jaime Lannister, almost 280 years of Targaryen rule never had a Kingsguard knight murder their king.
