Often you can accurately fill in the blanks from circumstantial evidence but since it was hundreds of years ago, who knows. There's an interview where he says he has fans that catalog all the details he has written in the books. He goes to them for confirmation when he is writing his books lol I forgot their names, but they have their own KZbin channel and some people who have been in the fandom for decades do not like them because they (the catalogers) feel they have authority about where the story should go. GRRM has also talked about how he doesn't have outlines for his stories and people have also done analytical videos over how he writes stories compared to other authors. All this to say that I do believe him when he says he does not know what the truth is 😂 "death of the artist" does allow for different interpretations of art--once an artist releases their creation, the viewer can interpret the art differently from the original intent. I'm sure GRRM is aware of this and leaves room for interpretation and fan theories.

I said the exact same thing in the after show stream with David Lightbringer about F&B's "authors." The Hightowers are the lords of Oldtown AND the biggest patrons of both the Citadel and the Faith. They are not going to bite the hand that feeds. They'll downplay the HT bad deeds, lie through omission, make Rhaenyra out to be more cruel, and Maester Gyldayne will dismiss most if not all of Mushroom's testimony as soon as he quotes it. He's trying to present himself as non-bias and impartial but fails miserably.

Haven't read the books yet but my one critique of House Of Dragon so far is the deaths aren't much of a slow burn compared to Game Of Thrones. I understand that these artists have lives and don't want to be stuck doing only one show, but I feel like characters like the twin soldiers could've lived another season depending on whether or not we get another time skip this season.

Your ability to watch this show and catch every single nuance or "Easter eggs" as you call them, is mind-bending... not blowing...bending. You're literally bending my brain in a manner that gives me the ability to not only understand these stories but also to derive great joy from them BECAUSE I understand them much better. You've changed the way I watch HOTD. I watch/listen to you BEFORE I watch the episode.. that might sound odd, but it helps me to recognize important moments that I would have normally missed. It's EXACTLY like I'm playing my FAVORITE video games. You know, the ones where you search for and find "Hidden Objects". As you find more objects, you'll be given "keys". To better help you find more objects. Sometimes you just get a "freebie"..(in Golf that's called a "Mulligan") and it gives you the object without even having to search for it. Well, you're my KEY🗝! You give me a slight "heads up" every now and then and BOY DO THEY HELP! You have made this and the Game of Thrones SO MUCH FUN to watch, and I want to thank you for doing that. I actually DO make this a game for myself sometimes where I'll pause certain segments and SCOUR the entire room ands search for ANY AND EVERY THIN G that I think will matter. I'm given my "answers" when i watch you after the show..,.And.... IT WORKS!!!. (Sometimes 🤭) That's all. I also watch the after show, "The house the Dragon built" is another "key" for me. It's just like what AMC did for "The Walking Dead". It was called, 'The Talking Dead" . It was hosted by Chris Hardwick. I rewatched the twin battle about 30 times with my boyfriend and we compared wounds, looked up the heights of the actors, tried to compare their beards….. EVERYTHING lines up with Arryk winning the twin fight and falling on his sword, not Erryk. Despite what Ryan says, my eyes say otherwise 😅 and ACTUALLY that scene would be so much better if my eyes are correct, because that means with his last breath, Arryk makes an apology to the one true Queen. It took killing his twin brother for him to realize he chose the wrong side all along. It took killing his twin brother while on a mission to kill a member of the royal family to realize that hurting her would be breaking his Kingsguard oath and tainting that white cloak.

It’s been driving me nuts hearing folks complaining about how blood and cheese wasn’t presented as the worst of the three testimonies of what happened. I like to think that the book is based on witness testimony, which is always wildly unreliable, and the show is what actually happened. Someone who would kill a kid for money is obviously a piece of garbage. But the stuff they did in the books was so absurdly over-the-top evil. It smacks of propaganda. I have trouble imagining Helena telling people that she wanted them to kill the other kid. It’d be kinda impossible to film the book version without seriously traumatizing the child actors or facing criminal charges.
