There's something kind of nostalgic about all the hype surrounding HoTD S2 and fans going to such great lengths to find out any sort of information about what to expect from the next season. Like when the Tower of Joy footage for GoT S6 leaked? So much hype and excitement for what turned out to be such a non-consequential scene but still, it feels like we're getting some of that magic back and I like that, because so many of my favorite shows these days I'm just "cautiously optimistic" about but I'm tired of that and I'm glad to be genuinely hyped for HoTD season 2.

ABSOLUTELY Brett, I can't tell you how happy I am about House of the Dragon existing. It brought back all of the magic I had for GOT...I'm genuinely enthused about it once again. It still had me HYPE even with all of the time skips - they didn't even bother me. I cannot wait to see it playout.

I just hope that they don't spend more of their time and money just to keep it all a secret. Personally I think that all the secret keeping is a big part of why the last season of Game of Thrones really took a hit because they cares more about it being a secret than it actually being good.

@@TheBattProductions If only they cared about it actually being good. 😮‍💨 I do have what ifs that are interesting. What if Jon never bends the knee to Daenerys? What if Euron Greyjoy was never born? What if Jaime Lannister learned the truth about Jon before they march south to fight Cersei? Considering his self hate for failing to protect Elia and her children, Rhaegar's children, knowing one son was alive, would it change his decision to go back to Cersei? What if Cersei discovered the truth about Jon, considering her obsession with Rhaegar? Except for the Euron one, the others would only effect seasons 7 and 8, yet those effects may be big.

actually they aren't even. Lucerys was a dragon rider, he also took Aemond's eye, and some could argue that Vhagar chose to kill as she felt it was the only way that her rider would get justice. Jaehearys was a child barely out of the crib, and did literally nothing to deserve it.

I'm not saying they're exactly even of course, but if you want to be technical about it - Prince Jaehaerys had a dragon as well at the time...didn't ride it, but I'm sure logically he would've become a rider in the near future. So still a W in that regard IMO. The kid didn't deserve it at all, but Lucerys didn't really deserve it either. Aemond lost his eye when kids were being dumb kids...and Aemond was probably the dick in that scenario, so I dunno..Aemond was projecting big time.

Very interesting isn't it? I cannot wait to see it go down...From a story telling POV, my *hope* is that Episode 1 or 2 ends with Blood & Cheese...Just 5-8 minutes of the whole scene, ending with Helaena losing it on the floor as the camera pans out and them CREDITS...then this funeral scene opens the next episode. BAH I can't wait, Farah.

@@TheBattProductions Jack sparrow mate. The reason he became a pirate because he was forced to ferry slaves working to the company. A deleted scene shows him saying “people aren’t cargo mate”. Ultimately a pirate goal is freedom. Freedom of their own decisions and future. And not just following orders.
