So they shoot water horizontally across the peak of the roof.. Donate that ladder truck to a department that knows how to use it. Amateur hour ... the 911 operator took four rings to answer the phone! It would be wise to consider installing a sprinkler system and additional outside faucets and hoses in your home considering the dismal performance of this assorted collection firefighters ... they sure were not concerned if additional houses got involved. Go to 0:51 and you'll see a bald guy in shorts, black t-shirt with red letters INSTRUCTOR ... was this an exercise? Go to 1:46 who is the bald guy on the left black t-shirt NEWARK HAZ-MAT? And in the center of the shot is the Wizard of Oz .. the conductor of this ... not sure what to call it. Are they trying to fight the fire or just train volunteers? The blue house on the right #32 could have been saved from damage if they actually put an effort into containing the fire in #28 to where the fire broke out in the garage. They let the house get fully engulfed.

2:00 Those are high school age kids ... look up A.W. Beattie Career Center ... it's like a vocational school ... one of their courses is EMERGENCY RESPONSE TECHNOLOGY. I see at least three instructors in this video. They shouldn't be conducting a live fire exercise in a crowded neighborhood. WTF is going on? The next day 10.15.2024 this very channel had video coverage when 5 house burned down in Irvington, NJ. Were there A.W. Beattie Career Center student/wanna-be firefighters at that blaze also?

I was there ... I heard one "firefighter" say ... "I'm gonna leave this line dry unless someone tells me to turn it on." This was said as the house was fully blazing away with winds blowing the fire to the house next to it. NO ... I will not praise the response from them .. they are all volunteers and it shows in their lackadaisical actions. As for the ladder truck .. they obviously don't know how to use it properly .. they were putting more water (horizontally) on the houses on the next block over ... than (downwards) on the house on fire they let get fully engulfed. I also heard them say they wanted the roof to burn through so they could put water. Clown show it was ... but of course people will still heap praise upon the incompetent effort. All hail the first responders. I suppose their thinking is if a house catches fire .. just let it totally burn regardless if other houses are in danger on a WINDY day. All of them get an F ... failures! By the way it started in the garage where the circuit breaker box is located.

10:23 Another instructor under the tent. What is going on here? Despite fire units from all these towns .. Colonia .. Iselin .. Avenel .. Hopelawn .. Fords .. did Woodbridge proper also show up? All five towns in the township? For a house fire and still let it take a 2nd house ... dismal performance. EDIT: Keasbey and Perth Amboy also showed up ( 7 departments ) along with EMS from Port Reading ... sure does look like an organized event.
