Ha! Youre a clever ol' lad beneath the surface! 😜 I guess you'll have to do most of the rooms like that? Hard graft plasterboarding, especially the ceilings! 👍

Funny YT pushed this one to me today, I do watch a number of building trade vids. You know there is a bigger push for these types of videos on YT than motorcycles, so maybe you're testing the water for a standalone channel, I'd certainly give support. That's if you can ever find the time.

I have a few more coming up like this, Wednesday I have a short one but again , no sub notification...I think I could really do welldoing this but its too much like work when you in someone elses house ...and the day job is a bit of a bind as it is...I did consider another channel but I struggle enough with 1 and as you say its time...you know what its like

Hey great tips ER I’ve done the same myself but I drilled the existing plaster with a small drill both ends then laser it but that’s Cus I don’t do it all the time and would do similar with down lights 😊 Boarding and DP the walls spot on😊 Hard job and bloody hard work Can’t plaster for shit me so don’t do it Good to see you doing your own job 🙌🙌 Cracking 😊😊 Radio linked fire alarms They’re good if you’re using Aico and even the Aico break glass pushes are good 👍👍 rather than a 3 c + E I would have used plastic fast fix boxes mark the floor where the cables are rather than metal back box But that’s me 😊😊 Great video Phil

lasers are great for down lights...out of interest what laser do you use? I have a cheap £30 amazon one and its amazing for the money! real game changer for tiling or suspended ceiling aswell. It is hardwork but its just normal to me now tbh. Yeap I am using aicos, also you can save huge amount if you buy from Ebay, 3 x radio links, 2 x opticals, and 1 x heat alarm for £160! brand new with a 10 year date! It was over £300 at TLC or £260 from shop4. Yeap fair comment on the plastic boxes, I try to use metals where I can ,it just feels better when plug it in. I also like to twist the conductors when second fixing the sockets , just kidding...I can't stand it when people do that. cheers
@-old-school-motorcyclesltd8 ай бұрын
@@exeterrider lol twist the conductors 😂😂had to look twice then 😂 the best laser, I find is the dewalt self levelling cross line, horizontal and vertical lines absolutely perfect for domestics kitchen jobs/ ceilings for instance gives you a line all round And I use two units for down lights one across and the other straight down if you have multiple rows 🙌 I use them mostly tho for Steel trunking Or dado around offices / conduit honestly I’m sure you would find them worth their weight in gold ! I also use the Dewalt laser plumb bob on occasions, measure on the floor then bob it up, I mainly use this for high bay lighting on a scissor lift 🙌 Metal boxes heh i fit what suits, if it was a brand new house I would use dry lined and metal obviously a pad saw along with the laser ready for cutting out using the line, Some of these building KZbin channels are really good, you may tho,as you say lose subscribers tho …. I think tho as you come across really well youde do very well 😊😊 Aico. Top Job !! I don’t mind fire alarm jobs The bigger the better really especially the industrial / commercial ones tho can get boring “Legend “😂😂😂 I could write a flaming book 📖 on shit I’ve had over the years! Working for myself ! Good and bad Still not easy sometimes Enjoy your week Phil
