hey Lorelei, my 2 rabbits currently live in a hutch (which is actually very big) but I really want them to live inside. My mum wont let me because she is worried about wires, how it could smell and her biggest concern is that we just got our house renovated and all net furniture and doesn't want it getting ruined. How do I convince het to let me have house rabbits? I love you and Lennon so much I really hope you read this.

I just adore how the older son has bunnies as pets he’s definitely broken the stereotypical thing of bunnies just being a girly pet.. I also love how it was the mum this time who called in for help it’s like she wanted to see her kids happy she understood how it was upsetting her teens seeing there bunnies suffer. Usually parents are the ones who get the most emotional and frantic over the idea of the bunnies being free roam but this mum was soo chilled and honestly I’m soo glad she called in and I’m also proud of the teens for really taking loreli criticism sooo well and for not being over dramatic and sad about it

This is lovely. Will the daughter or son get their buns fixed? Perhaps checking with the local rabbit rescue, they can find a cheaper alternative to fixing their bunnies. I was also SO impressed with the maturity of the son and daughter. They understood that "strict" doesn't mean that she (Lorelei) was being rude or mean, but just giving constructive criticism. Some youth (and some older) cannot take that type of criticism and will either retaliate or weep as if we are being directly rude to those people.

I’m not being political here, but it’s over 50 billion dollars to Ukraine, and the government can’t run a program to no charge spay and neuter animals to help control the pet population in this country and save poor stray animals lives. The procedure can cost more than the pet itself, no wonder so many bunnies get surrendered !! And DONT GET ME STARTED ON HOW OUR GOVERNMENT IS WORSENING THE HOMELESSNESS CRISIS OF HUMAN BEINGS !!!! 😫😖
@lazyhomebody13562 жыл бұрын
@@smokymountainangoras I don't think anyone gives up a rabbit, or abandons it, because they don't want to pay vet bills. They just don't take their pet to the vet!
@smokymountainangoras2 жыл бұрын
@@lazyhomebody1356 .. Lots of people have financial trouble and the people who can’t afford to fix their bunnies would be the ones to have accidental litters that they are subsequently unable to provide for, and it’s an exponential problem that can lead to numerous bunnies in the shelter. If there were humane societies that spayed and neutered for free the bunny could probably live a happy life with their original owner and not have to get put into their the system (and their poor orphaned babies!) and live in a cage until they are (maybe) adopted by strangers, who may or may not have a happy home for them.

I find it interesting how she immediately decides to throw out those cages, while yes I 100% agree they're unacceptably bad when they are stuck in them. I have mine attached to a very large play-pen so that it's open 24/7 and gives my lil guy a more contained area to eat and use his litter box, and makes it much easier to clean + it adds even more space since it's attached to the playpen. He's legit only kept in the play pen area while I'm working and is completely free roam when I'm home. All in all I just feel like she could do more with them instead of immediately throwing them out. Just my two cents. Good video 🤙

Another thing, the base of those cages (without the cage part, just the bottom) could definitely be used as a nice large litter box for a bunny, idk if it's too shallow and need to be deeper but it's a thought.

Agreed. I love how she educates the owners. But even if they aren’t suitable cages for bunnies to be in 24/7, she could have used them for a separate purpose or possibly donated them to a local shelter where they desperately need cages for small animals.
