Yes it really is! And the way the windows are positioned means opening them always creates a lovely cross-breeze and closing them keeps it nice and warm, depending on the weather. Have never had to use heat or cooling!

Covilhã is very lively and lovely. It’s be wise to check out towns you like for a bit before committing to one. The choice of a place is so subjective!

Nice lucky apartment. two notes on your Portuguese: 1. The pronunciation is getting close to perfect. 2. You should say Obrigada instead of obrigado. You are Obrigada in the sense that you are obliged to the person that you are thanking, so you use your gender. Spanish say gracias invoking good things from heaven (graces) for the person(people) you are saying. In Portuguese, by saying obrigado(a) you put yourself in debt to return the favor. (Also, I was intending to originally say “obrigada” but I think my pronunciation failed. My mother used to say I slurred my speech a lot…perhaps she was right 🫠)
