Forgot to suggest...you could mount coat hooks or a rack hook in the mudroom over the bench, instead of a large wall art, so you or guests have a place to drop off jackets, keys, hats, etc. Maybe place a smaller wall art above the hooks. The hall coat closet can then be for your family's coats.

That room when you first come can be considered a mud room. That is the perfect spot! You could add some shelves with cute little wicker baskets and add some hooks to hang up jackets

Love your floors and it’s so spacious. As far as the area with the long wall next to your laundry room if you wanna do art consider doing three pieces from the top to the bottom to fill the space. Like a painting that comes in three pieces. That way it can look like one.

Continuous blessings on your new home....in the mud room instead of an art piece, put something to hang your coats, umbrellas, guests coats etc., things that are WET so you or guests don't track water, MUD, snow on those beautiful floors.
