The public can be conditioned to accept just about anything if dissidents are sufficiently misrepresented. A 12 year old is more likely to be hospitalised from the COVID19 vaccines than the virus itself, yet governments are still ploughing ahead with the jab, even if the parents don't consent.

Abby P I’m not a medical doctor, but I would speak to your parents and your doctor about if you decide you want to be vaccinated. It’s too late if you get sick. Vaccines contain a weakened or dead version of what they are to protect you from so that your body can fight it off and make antibodies, so that IF you do catch something (ex: chicken pox), you will NOT die from it. I am vaccinated and 100% am an advocate for vaccines. Talk to your doctor!

@@courtneydoughman185 how are parents that just had their first child and didn't even do enough research are more qualified to know what to do with their child than someone who spent over a decade to learn everything so babies can be healthy. The warning signs are there because of accidental overdoses and people with allergic reactions so that really isn't a valid argument

@tek512

@@jaycorbin6145 It's funny that you think hospitals are actually sterile. Certain *areas* of hospitals are kept sterile, but most can't be sterilized most of the time. Incidentally, whether or not the baby is a risk to other people is not in question. The entire point was that a baby -- a baby whose mother insists on a vegan diet, no less (and thus the child has a severely weakened immune system already) -- took it somewhere that it has a much higher risk of infection, without any vaccinations to help mitigate those risks.

My mother was born in 1939. She remembers how scared everyone was of polio. Her father wouldn't allow them to eat bananas as he believed the black ends caused polio, wouldn't let them have ice cream cones because of the "dust" in the bottom of the cone also caused polio. No one in their family was allowed to go to the swimming pools or be anywhere there were large groups. That's because no one knew what caused it, and so many people died from it. Mom also remembers hearing a screaming neighbor because her child had just died from polio. Scary times before the vaccine.

Lewis Fraser You've touched on two subjects in one sentence. Anti-vaxxers are a unique group rejecting all vaccines. The Vaccine Hesitant are a unique group who make rational informed decisions based on the available information regarding the pros and cons of taking specific vaccines. The Darwin Award is given for acts of total idiocy eliminating the person from passing on deleterious genes affecting future survival. The Influencer backing up for a better image falling over the cliff edge is one such instance. It's yet to be determined whether Covid-19 vaccines will warrant a stupidity award and ones inability to pass on faulty decision genes. I'm afraid the younger age groups, now eligible for vaccination, who least require it, may regret it in future years. Darwin Awards aplenty!

@A Z I hope the alarm bells is that you would be healthier to take it. The mRNA is the part of the vaccine that allows it to still work if there are mutations. Before, vaccines only helped the one variant, if a new variant popped up we would need to develop a whole different vaccine even though they were similar. The mRNA just allows the same vaccine to work for several different variants. Basically, the scientists got ahead of the mutations. That's the problem. I can't help but notice how the anti-vaxx movement really became a big thing right as people old enough to remember polio and the measles started dying (of old age). It's like we simply arrived at a point where some forgot why we have vaccines. But others of us know at least basic history of child mortality and how far it has come in the last 100-150 years. A lot of people don't realize half of their kids that they love so much, or maybe all of their kids, would be dead or crippled without vaccines. Even if they don't get them, they still benefit from the herd immunity of others. No matter what you're afraid of about vaccines, it's a luxury to be afraid of that instead of burying your children.

Yes! Even when I was young, in 60s, I remember people disabled from polio. My cousin had eye damage from measles, it killed some. Babies born deaf and blind because their mother contracted Rubella in pregnancy. Babies with brain damage from whooping cough, Men could become infertile because they caught mumps. All real for us, but now people don't realise how dangerous these illnesses were, they don't see them now because of vaccinations.

Amen to that. People too ignorant (or stupid) to look back in history and see the destructive consequences of these diseases. “But I read on a forum about a kid who died from a reaction to a vaccine so no thanks for my baby” is their argument. Too bad there isn’t a time machine to take them back to see a room full of iron lungs full of polio patients, the walking cripples and the infant graves. Those who don’t learn from the lessons of the past are bound to repeat them.

Anecdotal here but also something you can see repeated many times over: As a child, my father was obviously much too young to receive the chicken pox vaccine, thus, got chicken pox. As an adult he suffers from shingles infections almost regularly as he is unable to receive the shingles vaccine. They are incredibly painful, debilitating, and happen so much it has literally stressed his internal organs. As a child, I too was too young to receive the chicken pox vaccine. Pox Parties were super popular at the time, so "wisely" my cousins and I were all rounded up to infect each other and kept in the same house for weeks. It was seriously miserable. Last year I had my first shingles infection. ON MY FACE. I wasn't allowed to visit my family because I could infect my father or my very young niece, or my grandmother. My landlord couldn't come by to help with my home because he had been too young during that time to receive a vaccine and, at 50, never thought about it. My shingles could have given him chicken pox. I couldn't leave my house *at all* for the risk of infecting people in public who were too young or too weak to be vaccinated. Oh, also, my vision blurred and my eyesight was at severe risk because as I stated, the shingles were *on my face*. The shot that came out ten years after I was born could have prevented all of this. Now I'm at risk of reinfection, of causing other people to become ill, my eyesight and organs are in danger if it happens again. A shot. A single shot when I was a child and this never would have happened to myself or my father. We're both immunocompromised and can no longer receive most any vaccine for any reason. We rely on herd immunity to protect us from these diseases which should be all but distant memory if not for the anti-vaxxer crowd. Our vision, our organs, *and our lives* are worth more than anti-vaxxer ignorance.

@alice hatterz A physician tends to look at the treatment of an illness from the point of view of medicine, and a dietitian tends to look at it from the point of view of nutrition. A physician's training is too complex on its own for a physician to also be expected to act as a dietitian, but that doesn't mean that a physician doesn't realize that diet is relevant to the treatment of illness. A good physician who realizes that someone's illness is diet-related will probably refer someone to a dietitian. Also, just because some pharmaceutical companies are irresponsible with the marketing of their drugs, such as opiate painkillers, it doesn't mean that those drugs have no legitimate use, and it means *even less* that *other* pharmaceutical products -- such as vaccines -- have no legitimate use. People get addicted to painkillers, and since the cause of their pain might never go away, they might always be using the painkillers. That's why they can be so profitable, and that's where companies get their incentive to act irresponsibly with them. In regard to vaccines, however, the question of addiction is irrelevant, and, unlike painkiller treatment, vaccine treatment is not open-ended. You get vaccinated once, and it's usually many years before you might need to get vaccinated again (although I realize that there are new flu vaccines every season, but that's only because flu vaccines are each distributed in anticipation of a particular strain of flu which is thought to currently be on its way there).

Well it is complicated. The first issues of every vaccines contains the disease and the antibodies to defeat it to reprogram your body to build immunity, thus you get a lot of backfires as the disease strikes too hard for the included antibodies to handle thus vaccines causing harm to the patient. However as vaccines develops they get T-cells which is basically antibodies with documented experience dealing with the disease meaning there is no need to include the disease with the vaccine shot thus eliminating the harm. For example the swine flu vaccine was a modern prime example of a fresh disease that got a quick vaccine for it that caused a lot of harm. Same happened with the Covid vaccines. But diseases older than 5 years are all 99.999999999 and so on with the 9's, percent safe as the T-cells are properly developed.

I never forgot that story. One Memorial Day Gramma pointed out the little graves and her friend's grave. Go to any old cemetery and check the dates on the small headstones -- most will be within a few days of the rest, as if a plague had visited hell on the community. Vax is not a miracle defense.. it is a compromise defense.. and should be taken in accordance with doctors advice. EDIT: the biggest problem is that some doctors are not aware of Vax secondary effect accordance to racial preference, that is actually a interesting topic with a lot of professional discussion worth looking in to.

Que Dableyou my grandmother survived polio, my aunt survived measles, and I survived chicken pox before the vaccines came out and we all did just fine. I don't have a problem with the basic vaccines but I don't get my annual flu shot because they make me sick every single time. For example, when I was living with my momma, daddy, little sister, little sister's bf, aunt, cousin, and niece everyone would be sick but me. Without the shot I don't get sick. With the flu shot I get sick with the flu. Yes, I know they say it doesn't make you sick but for me it does. Literally. I will not give my babies stuff that makes me sick. Or how about adhd medications (aka pharmaceutical grade meth) that caused me to develop epilepsy. I would rather spend extra time working with my children on their education and dealing with hyper children or inattentive children than give them epilepsy like I was. I trust medical science but I don't always trust big pharma. They say we are "winning the war on death" death is a part of life. It is the only thing about life that is guaranteed. To every story there must be both a beginning and an end. Some books just happen to be shorter than others.

Erika Tamayo From boasting about luck (not dying or getting crippled to dangerous diseases), to complaining about the expected fever from flu vax (if u understood how vaccines work you won't complain about the slight fever), to making claims of adhd medications developing epilepsy, then finally spouting philosophical "death is part of life" and "if it's your time to go, it's your time to go". Nice creative writing skills.
@grumpysanta6318
@grumpysanta6318 6 жыл бұрын
That's lovely Erika that you all did just fine. But you know what's even lovelier? How about knowing that your kids will never have to suffer polio, measles, chicken pox (and later in life shingles) because now we can prevent all those diseases and many more with vaccinations. You see, there are a lot of people that didn't do just fine after having those diseases. Many are simply dead. Many others wound up crippled, unable to breathe on their own, blind, etc. Also, no, with the fly shot you don't get sick with the flu. It isn't even possible for that to happen. What does happen in some people is that their immune systems produces some of the symptoms of fighting the disease when they get the vaccination. You can get flu-like symptoms, not the flu itself. That tells you your body is at work protecting you. Others are fortunate enough to not even get the symptoms manifesting. But do you know why the flu shot needs to be taken every year? Yep, mutations changing the virus. But here's the kicker... mutations happen during the reproductive phase. For the virus to reproduce, it needs to be in a host. People who didn't get the flu shot and actually contract the flu are the exact hosts required for the disease to reproduce, mutate, and spread. ADHD medications are not vaccinations. Red herrings are red.

The most screwed up part of the anti-vax movement is that it began due to a fraudulent study published by a guy who was paid by some homeopathic company to do it. Unfortunately, the study was a complete work of fiction and as soon as the journal figured it out, they retracted it. And the guy lost his medical license. The guy literally claimed he cured autism with asprin -- no joke. The ironic part is that they'll believe the part about autism and vaccines but ignore the part where autism is cured by asprin.

Just after I got all my vaccinations as a baby a neighbor came to visit with their family member. That family member had come from out of country and was unknowingly carrying measles, I ended up in the hospital after close contact with them. The Dr. who attended me told my parents if it wasn't for the vaccine it would've been a lot worse than a fever. It still sucked, my mom said I had to be in the hospital for a few days but it was nothing compared to another neighbors kid who got it but was unvaccinated. That poor baby got pneumonia that permanently damaged his lungs. I got to see my vaccinations at work as a teen too. My school had an outbreak of chicken pox but since I already had them and was vaccinated I didn't get to miss school. I didn't think much of it until kids started going to the hospital because of it. Turns out if you don't get chicken pox as a young child (under 10) AND you're not vaccinated it will cause some major havoc. Pneumonia ,swelling in the brain and apparently it can also lead to sterility the older you are when get it. A lot of those parents that didn't vaccinate their kids for chicken pox were worried about shingles but there's an effective vaccine for that too.

The vaccine for shingles is called _shingrix._ It is better than 90% effective and usually covered by insurance. It is recommended for people 50 and up, and is available at most pharmacies.

@@ryanstallbaumer For exact reason wearing a bulletproof vest is pointless if it doesn't make you immune to bullets. Sarcasm aside, not only do people twist information to fit their world view be we also live in an age of binary extremes. Ever try arguing with a conspiracy theorist pointing out logical holes in their theories and they accuse you of being brainwashed, say you don't think for yourself and believe everything the establishment tells you? You can't get anywhere with them because they only acknowledge their extreme views or the polar opposite.

When your profession is basically saving people's lives and keeping them healthy, that phrase is like denying our very own existence. You might as well not come to hospitals when you are sick because who needs doctors when you think you know more than them?
@matrixphijr
@matrixphijr 5 жыл бұрын
@@CrimsonWing67 That's the true irony of it: they'll go to a doctor, but only to hear what they want to hear. Anything else, and the doctor is wrong or lying to them. So the question is, why go to them at all? It's because it's not about truth or fact, it's about approval. On the off-chance that they find a doctor who happens to agree with them, they can trumpet it to all their friends and finally claim victory. It's actually the same way with smokers, drug users, overeaters, etc. The difference is they only hurt themselves, so when they don't listen to the professionals and end up dying, nobody hears a peep.
