OMG! I have to tell you, I am SOOOOOO happy that you filmed the trip back in from the camp to get the generator from Tara's brother. Others would have edited that out. I just found your channel, so I had to subscribe. I’m 70 plus, brings back so many wonderful memories. My grandfather was a Hebert or A-Bear, my grandmother was a Fuseilair they lived between Sulfur and Iowa. Me and my PawPaw ran those same type cuts , lakes , swamps . Me and my Cajun sweetheart wife "Bebe" left Louisiana and moved to Arkansas in 2004. I love Arkansas, the place and the people. It was all good. Bebe went a long way in spreading our Cajun culture in our little town. We found many friends there and passed a good time, playing country and bluegrass music, fishing, and hunting, a favorite pass time with us. We had many Cajun suppers at our house and no one ever left disappointed. Very few of them had ever eaten our style of cooking. By the time they had learned the difference between gumbo and jambalaya, (a common disorder among non-Cajuns, even some North Louisiana folks), they wouldn't hesitate to come and eat! After 4 years up there, Bebe was getting lonesome for some gen u wine, sho-nuff Cajun living among family and friends, so we moved back. By the time we got back to Louisiana, we found out about pastalaya for the first time, and had the good luck to try some from a very reputable cook. It was cooked from scratch, as they say, and it was beyond delicious. I highly recommend it.
