This was absolutely perfect and just what I needed. I am redoing our spare room and my wife is utilizing the closet.. I tore out the old wire shelves that I can't stand and came across this on Lowe's website but had a couple questions because the closet only measures 47".. I wasn't sure if I was able to cut the bars to size or if there was a specific way to do it and you nailed both of those for me. Putting this together will be much smoother now! Thank you!!

Sorry I never installed the drawers so I didn't do a video. I'm sure they go together just as easily as the organizer. Just plan it out based on your doors. For example, if you have bypass doors you can't install the tower in the middle with the drawer kit.

I see that you have a base trim (at least it looks like that). Doesn't that offset the shelving system a little bit from the wall, not keeping it flush? Or if you force the top part of the shelf to be flush against the wall, wouldn't that keep the shelving system just slightly at a angle? Wouldn't be able to tell from the front but from the side you could probably see it, right?

Very perceptive Jay. The base molding is only 5/8ths thick so I didn't worry about it. There was also no ¼ round since it was carpeted. You could notch the back of the lower box if the base was too big.

How is each sidewall of the unit able to attach to the back wall of the closet considering that the baseboard is in the way?

Most baseboard is only 1/2" thick. The unit leans back slightly but not enough to notice. You could trim the baseboard or notch the bottom of the unit. I would do that at a customer's house but at my house just left it.

The top shelves get installed the same way as the side shelf. A bracket on either side and a support in the middle.

You can cut them to fit. I put one in a 4 foot closet

Yes, but it is barely noticeable. You could cut a notch in the bottom unit but unless your molding is over an inch thick it's not necessary.

Yes it would assist me too! I've measured and read rod length is 30-48, so doesn't seem like I'd be able to get this exact setup 😒. I have 6ft. Hers maybe over 7ft-9ft.

The rods can be cut to length with a hacksaw. For me the 12 inch towers are too narrow.

You could do that but I would cut a little off of the back of the tower so it goes around the baseboard and quarter round.

Thank you, I was able to raise the leveling feet above the quarter round and only have half an inch. Which allowed the bracket to sit in enough to mount them to the side boards. Thanks for your video! Definitely made this way easier.

Yes. The shelves are about 12 in deep. The closet I installed it in is about two feet deep.

That will depend on how deep your closet is. You could cut a few inches off of the top tower before you put it in.

If you use a power drill to put the cam pins in they'll strip and be loose. If you overtighten the cams they'll bend. The triangles you nail on the back should've stiffened it up.

Yes but: Always predrill plaster before installing screws. A masonry bit is best. Do not use plastic anchors or the anchors I show in the video. If you have wooden lathe getting screws into the lathe should hold fine. You just need to know the thickness of the plaster. Keep in mind the thickness can vary along the wall. If you have metal mesh behind your plaster you'll need to use anchors like these: amzn.to/3kwlYd4

You never showed the screws you used when attaching the shelves brackets to the organizer. The package comes with 4 short screws and 6 longer ones…..

I believe the longer ones are for attaching the bracket to the tower. The shorter ones are to attach the shelf. Just line it up by the edge to make sure they don't go through the other side.
