I just saw you on LivingBobby video. You should have another channel about living in Vietnam. How to live there, the food, where to live, the culture, working there, the things that people could do there. Sight seeing, restaurants, clubs, grocery stores, furniture stores. All of it. I would it say, that a channel like would bring more people to your country. Thank You and GOD Bless.

4:10 I understand that „để tớ kể cho mà nghe“ means „let me tell“, but I can't parse it. Could you help please?
@hellonyancat6664 жыл бұрын
để = Let tớ = me kể = tell (like a story) cho mà = so nghe = hear Let me tell (you) so you can hear. It has a connotation of speaker telling the story out of emotion and for the sake of just being able to tell the story for the listener’s knowledge.

When she says "nấu cơm," why does her accent go down for "nấu" when it has a dấu sắc?
@amikecoru4 жыл бұрын
Because it starts lower than average. I was also very confused for some time.

@@amikecoru - I appreciate your response but I'm still confused. Around (01:10) she begins to use "nấu" (to cook) several times and every time she sounds like dấu huyền - the opposite of dấu sắc.

Is this northern accent? I'm already having trouble with my limited southern vocabulary and listening comprehension lol.
@RobertHeslop4 жыл бұрын
It is, yeah. Southern Vietnamese don't pronounce r's or g's as a 'z' sound :)

@@RobertHeslop Geez I'm here thinking I don't understand Vietnamese at all. Spoke with a local Southerner and she explained how even she has problems understanding Northerners lol.

it's only me or better to watch scene with subtitles before than without one
@amikecoru4 жыл бұрын
scientifically it's better to start from guessing, then help yourself with the subs, and then try again without them. you are somewhat right though: it's better to provide the vocabulary before; like „here are some verbs that will be used in today's text“ or something like this.

Do you also use `lau' to wipe down the counter and area around the sink? Or is that `cọ'? And how about dusting?

Can't get used to the tớ \ cậu pronoun pair :)

Yeah common problem of most Vietnamese learners :> but this is a friendlier and more casual way so we use this pair wayyy more often than tôi/bạn :>
