THANK YOU for making me feel normal for saying I need to put together a binder incase I die! People give you strange looks when you say things like this, then ask if you are depressed 😳 promise I’m not depressed, I just want to be prepared!

Update on this?? Always eager for more ClutterBug content! Related to your in case of "impalement" comment: I had a coworker who was in a car accident with her husband and children. He was killed, she was in medically induced coma for a several days, and both kids were injured and sent to a completely different hospitals. Though my kids are now teens, I have still kept some of your printables. In the event something like this were to happen, someone could take the Kid Information sheet out and use the parts needed. I'm sure my coworker's kids could've used their favorite meal or movie when they were in the hospital. I love that this is a "run my family in my absence" type binder.

Highly encourage any adult children to get a household binder set up at parents ' home. My folks live in a remote area and a binder like this will come in handy dealing with their mound system, well, water softener, gas and electric heating/ac info as well as having all the important phone numbers in case one of us kids have to step in and manage their home. Some tasks are seasonal so having that list will help too as they age at home. Thanks Cass!

This is a great binder! I used to have a similar one years ago. The medical section was very helpful as my husband got cancer and it saved me hours of time and much stress by keeping all his info and appointments housed in it. Now that I'm a widow and getting older, it's time to do another one for my remaining family to refer to. Thanks for this helpful video!

Hi Cas, I watch you often. Thank you for your help and great ideas. You have been a big help. I stay home, I am semi-retired and now how more time since I am not working. It's great to be home and not working. I have more time to devote to my home and will be making many updates and improvements by organizing, which I have already started. I have cleared out, cleaned out and organized 5 cabinets and my large pantry using dollar tree products. Thank you again for your being genuine and friendly and inspirational. I couldn't have done it without your help and by doing it on a dime too. LOL Hugs to you. :0)

The night time routine....you honestly admitted you loathe! 20 crock pot meals....HILARIOUS!!! Which by the way, I would love an updated video on that. How much you loved the payoff of having all those meals. If you would do it again. What you would do different. Please? Keep up the good work, you are adorable & inspiring! AND I have my list all ready to make your cleaning products, can't wait to try them out! Thanks!

brilliant idea it seems morbid like an "incase I die" folder but we have to be realistic you really do never know what's around the corner. I am the person that does EVERYTHING in my house. my husband works and I take care of the kids the house appointments finances literally everything. I'm having an operation within the next few months and I'm overweight so the risks are there and if something did happen my husband wouldn't have a clue what to do. so thank you for posting this I'm definitely going to make my own version of this xx

Pet information and what your final wishes would be are also helpful information to add, especially if you have very specific instructions for after death. You don't need to tell anyone what those wishes are, you just need to make sure the proper people have access to them in case they are needed.

Wonderful idea! If a mommy gets killed, a daddy will be able to pick right up where she left off, have all the phone numbers, account numbers, tax info, bilis and their contact info right there available for him. Even menus, with a list of foods and meals in the freezer, bills and everything family and daddy need to get thru the first terrible days and especially the first terrible month. This should include bedtime routines for the children, and reminders to love them and talk to them and cuddle them a lot. Hard to do when the remaining adult is feeling in shock and emotionally frozen, but essential for the kid's well-being. And a list of best friends or other people in the family who know how things were done, where things are, etc. So there is always someone else who knows everything else to help hubby step right in. PS, You look so cute! Love that style! A new concern for families is access to computer accounts with passwords. Unless you keep a list of access numbers and passwords to open your cell phone, etc. they are going to have a hard time finding all the info they need to tie up our affairs if and when we die. Also, in some states, the police won't release a body to the family without the social security number and proof of relation. This happened to us when my brother died suddenly of a massive heart attack. NY would not cremate him or release even his ashes to us until my mother sent a birth certificate to them. His wallet was lost and a search of his apartment did not turn up his social security card anywhere. So without the birth certificates that my old mother had saved, we could not have arranged his cremation or received his ashes. Check out what your laws are where you live. Also, check out the bank's requirements on your account in case of death. It would be difficult to have to manage all your final expenses and living expenses for the kids without access to the money in your checking account. What if you died the month before school started and the kids needed new clothes and shoes, after school activity fees, health check-ups, school supplies, etc. and your family couldn't get access to your checking account? That would be super difficult for them. Also, you need to have a note on the schedule for payouts for social security and insurance, so that your family will know right away when they can expect more money to come in to help with final expenses. Best of all, is to pay all your final expenses now, ahead of time, for each person in your family, so when the stuff hits the fan, the expenses have already been covered. In the States, there is an international cremation plan available that is worldwide, so you can pay ahead of time and always be covered anytime and anywhere. All you do is contact the funeral parlor where you purchased the plan and they will take care of the rest.

I love your bander. It looks like easy to keep in track. My problem is that I have everything in mine, even my everyday "to dos" Everything, but I get disappointed when I can't keep it in track, or when I don't have time to plan for the next day and then it becomes a mess. Also, my 2 y/old daughter wants to get her hands on it so I kind of hide the planner for her and it ends it up hidden to myself either lol 😲😲😲🙈🙈🙈

Although it seems a little morbid to be thinking about what medications or contact info might be needed, trust me, it's better to have this information before you need it. Trying to find information on someone's current medications when they're in ICU and unconscious and their GP is closed is an absolute nightmare.
