I worked at hotel in late 2001. People would routinely leave bloody pads, tampons, and used condoms on the carpeted floor. Sometimes guests wouldn’t even bother to tie the open end of the condom and it would leak out!

I didn't work at a hotel, but at a 24 hour fast food restaurant. One night at around 4:30 am I was told by a guy that the toilet was plugged in the small public restroom. When I entered to take care of it I stopped like I ran into a brick wall - poop in the urinal stall, on the floor, on the walls, the toilet was half full of poop with no water visible, on the floor and the walls in that stall as well. I just did a 180 and locked the door. I have no idea who actually took care of that disaster! Absolutely the worst mess I have seen in 24 years working there, and I have seen a lot of messed up restrooms!

3:21 Did he think he was going to answer the door to his own room if he knocked on it loud enough??! Knocking on doors looking for his own room makes absolutely no sense. 😳

I worked at two different hotels back in the 90's. We had a maintenance man that went into a room one morning to fix a light bulb. Guest had requested a light bulb to be fixed. So room was occupied. So maintenance knocked and announced themselves three times before he went in after no responses. Soon as maintenance rounded the wall and could see the bed, the bed was covered with open lawn trashbags, full with $100 dollar bills sticking out. Maintenance backed out of the room, wiped his prints off as he went, and destroyed any and all evidence he had gotten that work ticket.

So...the guest who requested the bulb change was temporarily out of the room, or had he planned an elaborate scheme to have the maintenance man go down for the crime(s) he committed? The implication is a bit unclear.

The first one is exactly what happened with Michael Hutchens (from INXS) except his GF's ex (Bob Geldof) wouldn't let them have the kids for Christmas, so she wasn't going to be able to bring them to see him and he was already depressed. Geldof was try to torture them in retaliation for her leaving him. Well, it worked. His whole family was tortured just as he had planned and now he lives with the consequences.

During the mid-1970s, my mom worked at a motel. It was one step up from a no tell motel and a couple steps down from a motel 6. We got lots of free shampoo. Mom even found a diamond ring. Turned it into management. She doubt they gave it back to the owner. The weirdest thing she saw was two naked guys laying on the bed together, looking at a playboy magazine. I was around 13 or 14. Even I knew it wasn't playboy. But, this was before playgirl. Mom, always knocked. I'm wondering what was so interesting that they didn't hear my mom. Mom said she closed the door and they still didn't hear her leave.

My dad would take me and my friends to the beach for my birthday every year as a teen. A few of those years he found money in small spaces people would hide and forget it. This was late 80's early 90's so the big brick tvs were still around. It was mostly behind those or under dresser drawers.

Turns out this woman was booking her room and bringing in dudes to either pee on her or vise versa. now remember when i said everything in the room was completely untouched That includes the shower

7:43 Uh... 90°C isn't possible, I mean it's possible for things to get that hot, but it's well beyond human survival. 90°C is 194°F and only 112°F/44°C is fatal, (notice I switched the order for defamiliarization to kick in). If OP can't tell them apart, why in the world would they specify? Just say 90° and Americans will get it, then the rest of the world will think "Hey, that's way too high to be Celsius, it must be Fahrenheit." and you would have been counted among the wise.

So I just work for private individuals in their homes. I wasn't at work at the time but I was looking to take on new clients. This gentleman responded to my ad. Now people always joke around asking me if people have asked me to clean in the nude or in a sexy outfit. That has never happened to me, however, this particular individual informed me that he was a nudist and that HE would be naked in his home while I was cleaning. Mind you, we live in Alaska so I wasn't really buying it LOL I find it a bit too chilly to be naked most months of the year lol. Needless to say I did not take the job.

Not a housekeeper but went on holiday to a hotel in Spain (I'm British). Whilst there the staff wheeled out a dead person in a wheelchair, passing through the hotel main entrance. The deceased person had been barely covered with a white blanket. This happened during the middle of the day when there were children around, I was not impressed.

The one about those poor kids running ahead and into the wrong room ugh! People, lock your doors if you’re going to do weird things. Actually, just plain lock your doors, because apparently giving out wrong keys is not too uncommon and who wants to have somebody burst in on them in the middle of the night. Not me, that’s for damn sure! there’s a thing you can turn above the door knob that will stop room keys from opening the door, or put the chain lock on or both.

I found a weird note under the pillow I was making the bed up that said "I will allow myself to shift realities tonight" it had sticks, crystals and a picture of a young girl. Creeped me out. Extremely tame compared to these stories

The only stories I have are of Chinese tourists in Copenhagen. They'd stay at Hilton and leave behind a huge mess - rooms full of packaging of expensive designer clothing, moet et chadon boxes, bags and boxes everywhere.. And cook instant noodles in thw kettle... I never undestood why they'd spend so much money on shopping expensive brands and staying in a 5 star hotel just to eat instant noodles out of a kettle...
