13 is definitely my favorite. It doesn’t matter how brilliant a doctor is if they don’t care about their patient. She cares and that’s also a reason house is a good doctor even if he’d shoot you dead if you suggested he cared.

it's something I don't understand how few people get, house shows time after time that he cares deeply not only about the diagnoses but also about the patients, he does it in a dumb and insulting manner to prove to himself and others (not very convincingly) that he doesn't care but the show still makes it obvious time after time
@all-caps3927

@@anarchosnowflakist786 he doesn't really seem to care about the patients at all, but rather incessant to prove that he is the medical genius that he is hyped up to be. He caters for his own egos more than for his patients in my opinion, house is a known misanthrope and therefore caring for those he doesn't have any connection with besides a diagnosis he has to make is unlikely. However none of my points detract from him being an incredible doctor.

After watching so many clips of House. I always amazed people could afford the amount of tests they do to the patients. I’m surprised we never had an episode of the insurance companies denying the treatment or tests. Medical bills are expensive

House doesn't charge. He is at a teaching hospital and if you get assigned to him it means zero hospital bills. His fame is what keeps other people wanting to go to that hospital.
@chrismiller7743
@chrismiller7743 Жыл бұрын
That's not how any hospital works, teaching or not. Someone pays the bills. There could be an entire spin-off show of the billing department trying collect on House's care. If insured, you know they would fight tooth and nail House's extravagant treatment. Whatever they refuse to pay goes to the patient, and then possibly the hospital could forgive all or parts of the bill if the patient pleads charity (or lawyers up). I guarantee you some of the patients House saved faced medical bankruptcy after.

I hear what you all said but sometimes you have to do this. My great Aunt was on her death bed. Break it down they couldn't thin her blood down enough to pump. The Drs gave up and initially refused to do anything further and was getting ready to put her in Hospice. Not trying to gain any glory here but I got in a couple of Drs face and said something along the line of do the Dr. House thing instead of quitting. Shamed them into it I guess. In the end they found a solution to thin her blood and she lived for another 10 years. What can I say?

@@tyresefarrell I agree with some of what you said but I've seen quite a few people go through "albeit" lighter withdrawal symptoms when I say they can't stop smoking weed so their is some addictive qualities, also people literally call House a drug addict because he wants to get high (Quote from Cuddy) and wanting to be high is an addictive quality whether pain meds or weed. I will also say that people haven't necessarily ODed on weed a lot of people have died due to people driving or going to work high which is better but not good.

The dude tried lighting up while connected to an oxygen tank. This is why I'll never become a doctor. Sometimes natural selection HAS to run its course.

@@TacticalJay-fb9ou interesting. I didn't know that measles was still a thing. I guess he wasn't vaccinated. Does that mean they had to track down the children too?

@@NH-tb2sm they probably would have to vaccinate the kids but Jeremy Renner's character's immune system was so messed up from all the drug use they would need more extensive treatment for him

Seeing Jeremy Renner in an ER with a "hyper-inflated chest" is a little bit disturbing. When tv predicts the future, jeez.
