you bring an extra apple today teacher's pet? sometimes people can be right, sometimes people can be left. sometimes you don't have to justify moral standards and opinions. literally the scientific process is to guess and experiment first, get the results second, and figure out the why the results are the way they are later....politicians and artists skip that last step and it seems to work out ok for the most part.

@@balancemaster55 you not being able to link 2 ideas into a single comment is completely dumb. also, morals are subjective based on life experiences and education (or lack there of)...for instance, literally all bigotry is morality, murder, war, environmental terrorism, greed....do i need to go one with all the most inhumane parts of humanity? it's all moral decisions, to exclude and pollute and corrupt...i can't think of any justification for destroying this planet, or killing an innocent child. there is no 1 path to walk in this world, and morality is just the reasoning why some people might choose 1 path over another. the rest is chaos. religion is the largest perpetrator of this philosophical debate...that i am honestly doubting you can keep up with. i expect you to be a meaningless troll, who's best course of action to prove me wrong is silence.

I don’t think it was genuine. He was making the tough choice to put aside his own happiness of having her there, but it was made out of love and care, not out of a superiority complex and pity. He didn’t want to take away her happiness in the time she had left. That was even the exchange they had before this scene. People really overexaggerate how heartless House is and interpret every interaction as sociopathic. Even when he makes the right decision, you’ll read into it as if he’s evil.

I've heard it said a million times that House doesn't care, and I've always wholeheartedly disagreed. Scenes like this are exactly why I do. His letting her go was a truly selfless act done for the sake of a friend he dearly loves if ever there was one.

I've heard it explained that House kinda fooled himself into thinking he actually doesn't care, like somewhere along the line he cared way too much and got hurt too hard, so he shelled himself up into what he is now. The guy acts the way he does and pushes everyone away because he doesn't want to get close enough to actually open up. Of course this doesn't excuse his actions, but you don't drive a car into your ex's house because you don't care. You don't risk your life for your best friend's dying girlfriend because you don't care. You don't risk your career for a patient by lying for her heart transplant because you don't care. There are times when he genuinely doesn't care, but the dude is a big softie and is just trying to avoid that.

She also is facing a debilitating condition she doesn't want thanks to someone who loves her. (Genetic condition but still) House sees a bit of himself in her and realizes that she hasn't hit the moment he did yet and wants her to enjoy her life before the pain comes. This show has always been so interesting to me. I finished watching it about 8 years ago. A number of years after finishing college at Michigan State and being at an unexpected point in my life (nothing serious), I am now thinking about applying to PA school. I know the real world is not "this life" in the show of course, but the wit, medical jargon and interesting writing has always been great and been there for me in the back of my mind. Love House.

There is politics in medical, but nothing like these shows. PA is good for stable hours vs. The similiar NP Degree that takes a slightly shorter path. A PA requires EMT, CNA, or other hands on medical 1500 hours before applying, and the slotsbare competitive due to lack of programs vs. Nursing schools.
@LiebeNachDland
@LiebeNachDland Жыл бұрын
@@johno8030 Thank you for that, no doubt, and I really was aware of most of it. I just now turned 28 and was thinking about PA during school at around 20 or 21, but then brushed it off without much thought, and now not really doing what I want with a Kinesiology degree. I was proactively actually looking into the Michigan State program already, which has one (which I really wasn't aware of when I was at school there). I was actually just invited by an MSUCOM (the med school there) advisor by email to a zoom/webinar informational tomorrow for their entry into its PA program, after some inquiry from myself. Also, if you look at all the programs in Michigan, which has quite a number of top ones (it's a big state for the degree) they all vary quite differently now for entry requirements. Some require no entrance tests, some require more pre-reqs than others, and some now have dropped shadowing hours or requirements. For example, MSU actually dropped an entrance exam and shadowing hours, where others like Grand Valley, Wayne State or Oakland require a GRE and things like 500 to 1,500 healthcare hours.
